Intellectual Property Survivor - Explaining Intellectual Property Via Reality TV

from the it's-come-to-this? dept

I am really not sure what to make of this one. Over in Singapore, they're trying to make the idea of intellectual property "fun and exciting". Why? I have no idea. However, that's not the crazy part. In order to reach this "fun and exciting" goal, they're creating a reality TV show that promotes intellectual property. Ah, the irony that will come the second that first episode shows up on a file sharing network. Basically, it sounds like a pretty weak concept for a TV show. Teams will have to come up with a product and overcome certain challenges, while also developing a marketing plan for their products. It's not exactly clear what any of this really has to do with intellectual property - but the folks in Singapore sure seem to think there's a connection there.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    Intellectual Nausea?

Can you stare at the second picture on this page without getting sick? (Not gross)

Does it have intellectual property? If you broadcast it on TV, will it cause mass nausea?

    Re: Intellectual Nausea?

I find this picture absolutely incredible! I’m not sure I understand the principal behind why it appears to be moving, my guess is something to do with “stereo vision”, but I see a marketing opportunity here. I stared at it for quit awhile and didn’t get sick lol. Probably because it fascinated me so…

    cleanfiles downloader

Dear fellow downloader, you do too also have problems with that nasty surveys, which can be impossible to unravel, when you're trying to download an incredibly precious file, like password for winrar files, or beta keys, the premium paid stuff from cleanfiles? I know the opinion very well because I was inside the same situation recently. But I are finding this awesome program called cleanfiles downloader, this can be the best and survey bypasser what I have ever located on the net. It is very simple to operate, often updated, and also efficient.
