Losing Your License For Driving While Yakking

In most places where driving-while-yakking has been outlawed, if you're caught it simply results in a fine. Due to the fairly minor punishment (combined with lax enforcement), these laws have done little to stop people from chatting away on their mobile phones while driving. Now, however, it looks like Ireland may get a bit more strict. They're talking about giving out penalty points for driving-while-yakking which could lead to drivers losing their licenses. It will be interesting to see if more stringent punishment actually reduces the number of yakking drivers.
