Get Spammed For Fun And (No) Profit

from the have-fun-with-it dept

ZaneK writes "Email Battles examines the underbelly of the Get-Paid-To-Read-Email (GPTRE) biz. If you're not yet sick of GPTRE schemes, you probably don't spend much time on the web. They're like today's version of the work-at-home pitches that cluttered the classified ads of yesteryear. In fact, Email Battles found that many GPTRE schemes have more in common with the old classifieds than you may think, including lousy (non-existent) payouts" Would have been nice if they had gone into a bit more detail about how the scams work, but it's pretty much as you'd expect (i.e., you're not going to get any money).

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

I want someone to spam me and so test my spam filter system.
I also want to feel a fella's hot manhood up my botty and feel it spray into me.
