Techdirt Greenhouse II... Aftermath
from the another-one-done dept
As many of you know, we had our second Techdirt Greenhouse idea workshop event on Saturday. Once again, we're in recovery mode, so I'll post a more thorough recap post after a few days (or perhaps a week) has gone by. However, we had a blast, and received a ton of great feedback from attendees, with some excellent suggestions on how to improve the event even more next time around. I want to thank everyone who came and participated -- as, just like last time, the discussions really made the event great. Also, special thanks to the presenters, the discussion leaders and the sponsors, Accel, Topix.net and PlugandPlayRealEstate.com -- all of whom helped to make it a fun event. Until we get together the full recap, you can check out some photos Dennis took. Vic from HotfromSiliconValley.com also posted a huge set of photos. There's also the short video clip News.com did of me explaining the event and showing a quick snippet of one of the presentations. Finally, Zoli Erdos worked hard to put together a Techdirt Greenhouse wiki that includes some of the notes and comments from the different sessions at the event.Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.
Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.
While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.
