eBay Says You Can't Trust Google Checkout; Bans It From eBay

from the a-little-competitive-fun dept

When Google released its Checkout offering last week, there was a lot of discussion over whether or not it was a Paypal competitor. Most people agreed that while it did some of the same things, it was really targeting a different market. Even eBay made some statements to that effect. However, eBay's actions suggest that they actually are quite worried about Checkout. They've now banned eBay sellers from using Google Checkout, claiming that it's not trustworthy, since Google does not have a "substantial historical track record of providing safe and reliable financial and/or banking related services." That seems like a pretty weak statement. If they just want to block out a competitor, that's one thing. However, claiming that Google isn't trustworthy enough in financial transactions is clearly the company just coming up with a random excuse to hide behind to avoid admitting that they're actually worried about the new competition from a big player.

PayPal is hardly trustworthy. They have a substantial historical track record of holding people's money indefinately with no explanation and nearly no assistance.

I welcome Google checkout as an altertative to PayPal. I can't wait until more sites start to accept it.

    eBay bans Google Checkout

They did it because they CAN. And why not? Since they own/are PayPal - why allow the competetion in right from the start?

Google is BIG. eBay and PayPal are BIG, too.

Trust me, eBay will throw its weight around as long as it can - but they do have a point, Google's Checkout is NEW and they don't have a track record yet.

On the other hand, a LOT of us have heard the horror stories regarding PayPal, and their own, "substantial historical track record of providing safe and reliable financial and/or banking related services" are just questionable.

Hurry. Go buy the domain CheckoutSucks, GoogleCheckoutSucks if someone else hasn't already beat you to the punch.

PayPal is NOT a financial institution or a bank.

Hello - this service is not new - as they do have a long track record in payment from their adsense and adwords program. Plus they had an official audit done as required by law and they passed their audit. You can't tell me that if someone like KPMG comes in an give you an OK with their audit, that they are not safe - give me a break

Ebay and Paypal suck - and finally Google is steping up to the bat and hopefully sooner our later we won't have to pay out the ass on comissions to use their services.

      Good job Google!

Paypal does suck, verified buyers or not, they file a fake complaint and ops there goes your money back to the buyer. I hope Google is more respectful and does investigate buyers and sellers more carefully (i.e not based $$ revenue based income, just because we can fee doesn't mean you can!).

I don't believe it's eBay's place to determine if Google is 'trustworthy' enough. If there was another competitor out there that was less of a threat in eBay's eyes I'm sure they wouldn't have banned them. No, the problem here is that Google has a history of creating reliable, innovative and just plain better products when they embark on an initiative. eBay is scared. To be honest I think PayPal could benefit from some REAL competition. News like this makes me want to support companies like Google.
And as has already been mentioned, PayPal hardly has a CLEAN record when it comes to securing their customer's data. Just my 2 cents

        http://www.paypalwarning.com/

Since PayPal is NOT a bank, they do not need to follow federal banking regulations. These regulations are in place to help the "Average Joe" avoid issues like having their bank account frozen for 6 months with no explanation...(Imagine if your bank was permitted to do that!)

Because PayPal is not regulated in the same way as a Real Merchant Account, Paypal accounts are frozen for almost anything and without warning. The account can usually receive money while it is frozen, but it certainly cannot withdrawal money. Once an account is frozen, the funds are often held by PayPal for months on end with Absolutely No Recourse for the merchant.

Merchants finding themselves on the wrong end of a frozen Paypal account will still have to find some way to pay their obligations and fill orders for the weeks and months while the account is restricted. A domino effect occurs when a merchant's account is frozen, leaving them with No Means To Fill Orders. Those orders are then disputed by customers, creating more chargebacks and the illusion of fraudulent activity on the part of the merchant.

Auctionbytes recently did a survey of sellers and this little tidbit was among the results: "10% of sellers have had a buyer do a chargeback on a purchase when using an online payment service, and 8% of sellers have had their account frozen by an online payment service due to a problem buyer or by error." As cynical about payment service as I am, these numbers scared even me. I would never have guessed that the problems were this bad. Even a 1% rate would be bad enough. Would you open an account with a bank that said, "We routinely shut down 1% of our accounts with no warning for security reasons"? Would you open a store where the landlord has the right to lock you out of your own store for weeks on an unsubstantiated complaint, even if he only did this 1% of the time? Why are sellers entrusting their entire business to a heavy-handed "partner" whose actions violate every rule of business management or ethics?

Class action together for Canadians who have been victimized by Paypal. I'm literally going to be evicted because they put my funds on hold - and I know others have been put in horrible situations.

I think I'll try putting both PayPal and Google Checkout on my website (violin and accessory sales), and make the Google Checkout a little cheaper.

Enough people leave ebay over this (most of the stuff listed on ebay isn't really suited to auction-style listings anyway), and they will relent. Either that, or Google will sue them for anti-trust (although that would take years, it could ultimately be the end of ebay).

"I think I'll try putting both PayPal and Google Checkout on my website..."

This is exactly the reason why eBay is banning Checkout... It says in the eBay user agreement that you cannot charge more for a product simply because someone uses PayPal to buy it. It seems logical that people will do this on their own sites, so by keeping Checkout off of eBay, they prevent the whole-hearted switch based solely on pricing.

      Re: Ok???

That's not really the same argument because eBay is simply a marketplace for individual users it should be up to the individual seller to decide how you may pay. (This IS how it is.) For example as a seller I can refuse to use paypal and request check. What eBay has done is say 'As a seller you can't accept this payment method'. Which I believe might be a first. I know they have rules like 'you can't only accept money orders' but I do not recall a rule banning any specific payment method. This is room for an anti-competitive lawsuit.

This will be short lived, I recommend everyone with a seller account contact ebay and requesting google checkout be allowed. If nothing else it will keep their support busy.

      Flawed analogy

Well do they not have the right to use any type of payment system they want? How about all the retail store who do not take American Express?

The problem is, eBay is not like a retail store, when you shop on eBay you are not actually buying anything from eBay; the individual sellers on eBay are like retail stores. They should be able to accept or not accept whatever form of payment they want (and other than Google checkout, they can; not all eBay sellers accept Paypal, and many accept it but prefer money orders/bank transfers/etc, even offering discounts for other methods of payment). A better analogy would be the owner of a shopping mall saying no stores in the mall can accept American Express but they are free to accept or deny any other form of payment they wish.

It's eBay's baby - and because they are-own PayPal they can do whatever they want, and they are. Clearly.

In the auction format they take a "hands off" approach mostly when there are problems and want the people involved to "work it out" because they always claim that they represent and created the forum that brings strangers together to make the deals. Essentially it becomes you problem.

This isn't the question, the question is do they have the right to dicate how paying users of their services accept payment. As they've done this for years, I doubt many ebay sellers are surprised. I'll be more interested to see if Google says on the 'do not use' list for more than 60 months or a year. Re: Ok???

YOU'RE the one that's an idiot! eBay is akin to a classified ad system. They have NO say on what type of payments the person who posted the ad should accept! Your argument of the retail store is flawed. The store is NOT eBay, the store is the person LISTING the item! THEY are the ones who dictate what payments they accept. Idiot.

      In reply to:
      ---------------------------------
So half you are pissed because ebay won't accept Google checkout? Well do they not have the right to use any type of payment system they want? How about all the retail store who do not take American Express? Or the ones who will only accept Discover Card? What about places who will not accept Checks but will accept your check card? Bottom line thats their right to do so and if you don't like it shop somewhere else. By the way I don't ebay!

eBay using Differentiation as business strategy

Of course eBay is concerned. They should be. I don't think it's an invalid excuse, rather eBay is trying to reaffirm with their users that their PayPal service has a proven track record, and they are secure and trust-worthy. If a user is making a purchase, I think these are key components in their decision making process as to what service to select for purchases.

    Google vs PayPal

I have had PayPal since 1995, They have always provided me with good services, but there are always the stories of people having accounts locked out. Sometimes the accounts were locked out for good, leaving all funds in the account lost.
I have also used google for many features, such as Google AdWords, and profited off of it. So I trust google to get me my money. Never was a check late, never were my funds held agianst the legal agreements.
Overall, I do prefer the google agreement policies, so I would have to side with them.

--I'm the guy that reads the agreements that you click past all the time, and on weekends, I read the fine print at the bottom of TV commercials... "Hey, It's a living"

Couldn't Google simply retaliate by excluding eBay from their search results, or by forcing a lower PageRank for any URLs that contain the eBay domain name?

If you don't like something that a ebay is doing, don't shop there. There's many other places to get "deals" on stuff. There's Froogle.com, mySimon.com, Shopping.com (and eBay company), etc.

I agree that Google or someone else should create a better Auction than eBay.

It's a great idea for Google to ban ebay from the search terms in "retail"liation.

    Oh, sure, I believe Ebay.

That's pretty funny that Ebay would invoke trustworthiness in rejecting Google Cash. It's just incredibly obvious that they're worried about competition, and they have to explain why they cut competitors out, so they make up some BS. Standard corporate procedure.

I don't see how they could enforce this anyway. Many sites simply direct you to their website to pay with your credit card, and they could have anything on their own website.

I do use Ebay and Paypal, but I would prefer to have more alternatives, not fewer. I have read paypalsucks.com, and it's pretty grim. I'd recommend checking that out even if you plan to continue using Paypal.

    Into GooBay or Eoogle

Ok, EBay throws its weight around. Google answers with its own version of an online auction house. Oh, but wait. It ties to Google checkout and google maps and google search and google.....
See where this is going. I may be wrong, but if I look for a car or couch or huge lamp or whatever large item I am looking to buy, I think it would be cool to see all the auctions on a map so I can choose the best shipping or arrange pickup. If I am looking for a cd, and I search google for it and I see there is an auction for it, I may want to look into it. Good job Google, your heading in the right direction. Shame on you EBay, for not recognizing the desires of your customers.

It's possible that this springs somehow from Sarbanes-Oxley. Remember that its intended purpose was not to make life difficult for IT people but to guarantee the quality of financial controls. eBay's auditor might conceivably object to a significant portion of eBay's transactions being processed by a company that just entered the financial sector last month.

What ever happened to eBay being just a venue?

That question has long ago become cliche'. eBay execs used it as a crutch years ago to wriggle out of any tight or uncomfortable situations that users put them in by listing questionable items or committing fraud. Now, sellers and buyers alike long for the days when it WAS a venue and not a monopolistic, controlling Big Brother out to gobble up internet capital to pad their shrinking revenue numbers.

eBay stock has been in a slow but progressive decline since winter 2004 when they took a big dump all over their sellers and raised fees by seemings astronomical percentages. CEO Meg Whitman seems to think that expanding into the furthest reaches of the solar system will increase revenue, yet eBay can't maintain a cohesive site at eBay.com.

This lack of innovation and inability to controll fraud makes eBay take a defensive stand to protect their core business. Rather than make it better, they only try to protect it from competitors. They got rid of Bidpay because it was hurting Paypal revenue, and now they prevent Google Checkout from being used. Freedoms are dwindling every day for ebay users, anyone who sells there for a living knows this.

Google should block all eBay URL's from their search results in retaliation. Trying to do research and sorting through pages of eBay results when you don't want to see them in the first place is annoying. If eBay wants to act like children, let Google do the same - It would be welcomed by many.

As the title states. You all probably will still end up using eBay. It's quite funny how you can complain that eBay is only a venue and they have no right telling you what payments you can use. And yet, if you get defrauded, you go running to eBay blaming them for what happened. I believe they are trying to do their best taking a hands off approach to how the site is run and letting the community decide what is best. But they have also implemented steps to ensure that it still remains a safe place to trade. The reasons why they are not permitting checkout at this time are pretty reasonable. You may also find it interesting to note that Google Checkout isn't backed by a financial institution. Most big online payment companies are. Meaning, if they go belly-up you still have some options

PayPal has destroyed legitimate small businesses

A simple false accusation by a buyer, or the personal prejudices of "Eric" in PayPal's Acceptable Use Department may be enough to get your PayPal account permanently suspended, and have ALL of your money locked up for at least 6 months (and from what I've heard, frequently much longer).

Yes, there are all the horror stories at www.nopaypal.com, and there are those who like to say, "I've used PayPal for years without a problem," but that's the point. Once you've accumulated a substantial balance and you least expect it, PayPal can throw just about any accusation against you that they wish and you are doomed. There's no legitimate "appeal" process, what they say is the law.

My own small business was destroyed by PayPal and a signficant amount of money was locked up for 6 months and counting. They're supposed to have given my money back by now, but no dice. To make matters worse, they terminated my merchant account associated with my PayPal account and even terminated by PERSONAL PayPal account just to add some insult to injury. A merchant trying to charge my PayPal credit card was told that my card was "void."

Monopoly power allows a company such as the Nebraska-based PayPal to get so out of hand that they destroy people's livelihoods without a care or concern in the world as long as enough $$$ is rolling in.

I'm sure there are thousands of other burned sellers like myself ready to spread the gospel about Google Checkout.

    I checked out “Google-checkout”.
The overall process seems to be very easy but exactly that makes this solution very vulnerable. During checkout there was no security question to make sure that I’m indeed the owner of the Google account or the associated Credit Cards in that account. Of course I used my username and password but because there are so many Google sites, using the same username and password, it is very easy to loose your login information on a hijacking page as you might not check the url for Ad-Words or Gmail every time you log on as those services never had the possibility to shop with your Credit Card.
Now because you have one account and login information for all it is quite possible that hackers will try to get your login information from any Google service out there! Even worth is the fact that the hacker can change the password without any problem. The owner of the account might not even get any information about the password change as the e-mail is sent to the according and hijacked Gmail account.
Because of this HUGE security risk I would not recommend using Google checkout!
Please checkout the http://www.thebilliondollarpatent.com as s-registration solution that Google should have implemented in their service to make it solid and secure. This solution is requiring a third credential called TAN to make sure that ONLY the owner of that account is able to shop online even in case the account is hijacked.
I hope that everybody is aware of the security issue with Google checkout and will inform Google of a better solution!
    Thanks and be safe;-)))!!

Google Checkout is not secure and many Bugs!

Dude anyone trying google checkout is totally taking a huge risk with security and privacy. Does anyone know how long its taken PayPal to create a secure system? Years! and Google thinks they’ve done it in 6 months. yeah right.

PayPal has hundreds of people working in security alone. They also have an FBI department right in paypal to help combat fraud. Google has a total of 0 people in these departments.

I think google making 3 Billion a Quarter needs to spend the money on this. Otherwise company’s will never support this system. I surprised its even being used during XMAS most important time of year.

Should have tested it better and after the holidays.

I’ll never leave paypal, yeah the fees are higher than google checkout but I know I’m secure with PayPal.

    Google Checkout does not checkout!

The Google Checkout service is about the worst service I have ever used. They do not have ANYONE working in their so-called Customer Service department. I have been dealing with them for 8days now, trying to get info on something that I ordered and then cancelled the next day. Well, in spite of the fact that they took the money out of my account, they don't respond to e-mails or else send generic e-mails telling me how to check my order status which never says anything but IN PROGRESS. I have no f'g merchandise, no shipping or delivery info, no way to find out any of this and now I'm out $325.00!@!@! Everyone talks out it being great because they have a lot of freebies - well I wasn't offered nor did I get any freebies and I didn't want any - I just wanted the stuff I ordered or my money back, which I did not get, and they have done nothing to help!!!!

    Google Checkout is a nightmare......

Ordered from 3 different stores using Google checkout 3 weeks ago and have received 1 item. The other 2 stores claim they have never received the order even though Google Checkout shows it "In Progress". I even reordered 1 item via the store website without Google Checkout and it arrived in the mail the same day I got an e-mail from Google Checkout telling me that they couldn't process my order because the product was out of stock (if it was out of stock, how the hell was I able to order it in the first place!!@#*$&#*). The other order is still in limbo land and there is no one to talk to at Google and the store can't cancel the order because they don't have it! But if Google sends it over one day it will ship! Absolutely worthless. Reality is that you aren't paying for your product when you go through Google Checkout. It is like you are placing the order with Google and they will eventually get around to placing it with the store and you better hope they didn't run out of product. There is not a direct connection that I can see. Stay away until they fix it!

Google Checkout: You Pay - Get Nothing

Google Checkout charges your credit card before your order ships. You might be ringing up a credit card bill and get nothing in return if the merchant does not ship your order.

I ordered an in stock item from buy.com on Dec. 6th. Google Checkout charged my credit card immediately. Buy.com never sent my order because it turns out the item is not in stock, it is on indefinite backorder. It took more than a week of contacting buy.com and Google Checkout to find out why my order never shipped.

There is a conflict in the Google Checkout Program policy and what buy.com says Google Checkout policy is.

    Google Checkout Program policy:

“As a Google Checkout merchant, you’re required to adhere to the Google Checkout policies at all times.

    2. Order Management

    b. Ship orders before charging the buyer’s credit card. You may not attempt to charge the buyer’s credit card until you have
    shipped the order.”

    http://checkout.google.com/seller/policies.html

What buy.com says Google Checkout policy is:

“Please note that you are billed though your item has not yet shipped. This is one of the unique policies when purchasing through GoogleCheckout.

For more questions on GoogleCheckout policies, please visit our Buy.com help site. Under Pricing and Billing click on “What are my payment choices?”. Then, choose Google check out or you can simply copy paste the following link in your address box:

    http://www.buy.com/corp/support/billing/google.asp”

Buy.com policy for customers not using Google Checkout:

“When will my credit card be charged? Since we don’t think you should pay for your order until it is actually on its way, Buy.com will not bill you until your products, including backordered or preordered items, are actually shipped. In
the case of Music Downloads we will bill you at the time of purchase.”

    http://www.buy.com/corp/support/billing/creditcards.asp?what=whencharged

Google Checkout support knows that I (and many others - this is a growing problem, and not just with buy.com) have been charged for merchandise that has not been shipped and that the merchant can’t even give an estimate on when the item will be available - if ever.

They have done nothing about it. The charge is on my credit card statement. I have nothing to show for it.

If Google Checkout can’t be trusted to require merchants to “adhere to the Google Checkout policies at all times,” why should consumers trust Google Checkout with sensitive financial and personal information at all?

    They shouldn’t. Period.

    Don’t use Google Checkout.

    Google Checkout responded to me:

"Thanks for bringing this to my attention, JM. All
merchants integrate Checkout in different ways,
and have unique billing and shipping policies. If you
are concerned that your order will not arrive in the
timeframe you expected you should contact the
merchant to cancel your order. I will follow up with

    GoogleCheckout"

    My response to Google Checkout:

So, to clarify, Google Checkout does not require merchants to adhere to Google Checkout Program Policies, and expects customers using Google Checkout to risk their money by paying in advance for orders that may never be filled?

You have got to be kidding.

People who have tried to cancel their orders report that they get nowhere with this; they get no credit to their account, just the runaround. The merchant says to contact Google Checkout because they are
the ones who charged the customers account, not the merchant. Google Checkout says to contact the merchant who then says there's nothing they
can do, Google Checkout charged the customer.

When they do finally get someone willing to take responsibility for this, they are then told that it will take 5-10 business days for their refund to process. Why does it take 5-10 days for a refund when the charge was posted to their accounts immediately?

The complaints are pretty widespread and all involve the use of Google Checkout when buying from several major e-tailers.

A lot of people have just gotten fed up with this and filed a fraudulent charge complaint with their credit card companies, starting the process of a chargeback.
But, they are told it may take as much as 60 days to resolve the issue.

Some people have been socked with credit card interest for merchandise they never received because it was never shipped, and is not likely to ever ship.

Why on earth should buyers trust Google Checkout?

Either Google Checkout or the e-tailers are holding on to a lot of money for orders that were never filled and merchandise that was never shipped.

Google Checkout just throws buyers into third party payment processing hell.

This is not the "fast, convenient, and safe online shopping experience" that the Google Checkout program claims as its goal.

    GOOGLE CHECKOUT SUCKS!!

Wow, can I tell you about my first (and only) GC purchase? What a rip! The "merchant" turned out to be bogus and I am still fighting google for a refund. I never got what I payed for and waited 3 days for a response from the GC team. When they did reply, they got my name wrong (not even close) and got everything else about my request wrong. It was a total lack of respect for me and for my situation. I have had to get Visa in the mix and file a formal complaint (and investigation) into the (so called) merchant and (sadly enough) Google. It has been over a week now and still have not heard from the merchant and have had only one half-assed attempt at communication from Google.

    Very sad indeed.

Google, if you are reading this, stick to search engines. You have no business getting into this market.

I really hope that Google gets over this "TEST" of the Google Checkout system and moves on to what they do best, giving us free crap to waste time with ... oh and the maps!!

Sorry Google, I gave you a chance and you blew it, bigtime! Maybe you should spend some of those record profits on better customer support???

    ...end of rant...

    Google Checkout

Google checkout has done nothing but cause problems for me and is unable to reliably store credit card information creating the appearance of a rejected card without being able to process a payment.

    Google Checkout

I ordered something from a company called Cellsf.com on April 17th, 2007. Google charged my AMEX card but today is May 14, 2007 and still no merchandise. I have sent 4 emails to the seller through checkout website but looks like no is on the other end.

Google needs to learn a lesson from Amazon.com who actually follows with a customer survey email and who actually fights for their customers with their thierd party vendors.

    No more Google checkout.

Why google checkout sucks REAL BAD!!!!

    1) NO LIVE SUPPORT.
    2) NO payment security. A merchant ripped me off... no answer from google or merchant. Thank God I sued a credit card.
    3) Horrible interface system. Compare it to PayPal.
I am not a big fan of paypal, but google checkout does not even come close.

Ebay was right to block Google checkout, 28 Jun 2007 @ 3:32pm

They have my money, I have no product.

Google checkout doesn't seem to care what happens after they get you CC#. I ordered in Nov of 2006 Still no product. Slow response from Google and form e-mails from the merchant. I need a phone number of a live customer service person.

    I agree

It seems like a lot of people in a really short time have had problems with google checkout with fake/bogus sellers. I've been ripped off and will certainly will never use google checkout again.

google checkout is a MERCHANT - not a RESOLUTION S

Many people seem to be confused about what google checkout is. All they do is process the credit card. Unlike paypal, who offers resolution, google checkout is the same as if you swipe your card at walmart. If your products at walmart break a day later and walmart won't let you return, who do you call? The credit card processor for walmart? Or your credit card? That answer is obvious, and the same answer goes for if you buy something with google checkout. Call your credit card. You will get a pretty much instant refund, and that vendor will have a chargeback which puts them ever closer to not being able to accept credit cards anymore.

    Paypal V Google Checkout

I think that EBay’s reason to ban checkout is flawed. Not only is google a big company & well known company now, but it has for the past year been offering it’s services to some well known online retailers. Not only is checkout simple, its problem free.
I personally am sick & tired of having my paypal account limited every time I receive a payment from someone, just to be asked to verify my bank account, cc, name, id n so forth time & time again. My last straw with paypal was when I received £178 in a transfer, which was from a friends paypal to mine, which was money owed. My account was limited for 5 months because they requested me to verify myself, however I could not because I had already verified my cc, bank & could not verify it twice for the same account. Phone call after phone call I had with then & its like talking to a wall.

So in the end, when I had my friend send in a support ticket claiming he didn’t send it, he got the money back & he withdrew it & gave it me in cash in staid, then I emailed paypal & told them to forget it & to delete my paypal account as im fed up with dealing with people who don’t listen.

This was 6 months ago, now every month I get a paypal email asking me to please re activate my paypal account by verifying my data.

What goes around, comes around...Google Carma

Personally, I think think this is funny.. Google has been throwing it's weight around and hurting too many people. It's nice to see someone else have the upper hand for once.. Even if it is ebay and payapl.. Google Horror Stories

    re: google checkout not safe

Of course ebay is going to say crap about google checkout.

Ebay owns paypal and google is it's competitor

Google offers amazing things such as froogle for online shopping and places like amazon, ebay etc. are getting worried.

    Google Checkout

We have been using Google Checkout at Bonanzle.com for our transactions and it has been solid. We do offer paypay but find that most of our users are so fed up with eBay that they refuse paypal. Plus Google Checkout is much more reasonable, it allows more of the profits to go where they should go, to the seller!

    Take care,

    Good.

Google Checkout is a horrible service. From what I understand, they are a cheap merchant's dream but a buyers nightmare. I have had nothing but a horrible experience with them.

    Well its 10/2009 now

Three years after this blog entry and Google Checkout is still a bug-ridden pos. Ask any of their merchants, if you can find one still using it, or willing to admit they ever did.

Google has the most remarkable ability to ignore the rotting smell from it's products.

eBay is 100% right... You cannot trust Google Checkout!

Have you been keeping up with the news? Checkout is under fire for not offering any customer support for transaction disputes and there is even a class action lawsuit in the works.

I just made a blog post showing how to verify your PayPal without having a bank account, you can see it at http://whosthatguru.com - I just thought it might help some of the people who read your blog so why not share it

Old Post Still the Same Google B.S.

I do not blame ebay for not allowing Google checkout. Our company had a few customers that received the merchandise "and quickly I might add", they left bad feedback through google because they wanted something for nothing and google kept the money, closed our account and now we are stuck with bad reviews when you pull us up on google.

    Google

Google accessed my checking and took money. I cannot find an email account to have them answer as to why. I was considering a purchase of there chrome laptop but did not authorize or continue the purchase. The amount taken was far less than the purchase would have been. How could they get into my personal banking??? So they file my account info even if a purchase is not made?? If so I wonder who else can get into my account. I am a single mother of 3 who is unemployed. I had to enter my info to be able to see what the price would actual be if I did order it because google would not inform me of shipping or tax until I did. I thought Google would be a safe place to shop or compare pricing. I WAS WRONG AND THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY TO FIND OUT. IM VERY CONCERNED
