DailyDirt: Drinking The Most Expensive Coffee

from the urls-we-dig-up dept

Some people really like to drink coffee and are willing to pay nearly any price to do so. There are probably cheaper ways to get caffeine into your system, but if you like the taste of coffee, you might want to try some exotic procedures that are meant to make the coffee drinking experience just so much better. Here are a few links on some cups of coffee you might want to try if you have the money. If you'd like to read more awesome and interesting stuff, check out this unrelated (but not entirely random!) Techdirt post via StumbleUpon.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

But why not try a similar coffee from an elephant?

Do I really have to answer that? I think the "why not" is rather self-evident here.

It would be nice if sign up wasn't required just to view articles at StumbleUpon. Since it is, it's a waste of time to read the headliners here.

Is that true? I just clicked the stumble button, and I don't have an account and it worked for me... Am I missing something?

I clicked the button above and it stumbled me to an article, and I never signed up for it.

I don't even have an account to be logged into, but I never get this page, so I experimented a bit. It turns out that it's because I use NoScript. If I turn NoScript off I still don't get a login page but I do get an SU banner and an overlay asking me to log in. I can close the overlay to see the site, though. No login required.
