DailyDirt: Seriously, You Are What You Eat...

from the urls-we-dig-up dept

There's still a lot people don't know about biology, and the way biological molecules can be transmitted. Eating food is an unavoidable way of consuming a whole range of biological compounds, and scientists are learning more and more about how foods can affect health. Here are just a few links on some interesting food science topics. By the way, StumbleUpon can also recommend some good Techdirt articles, too.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

What say you now pro-GMO people?

Looks like not everything has been researched about Genes and food after all. I hate to say it, but I told you so.

Re: What say you now pro-GMO people?

The fact that there are unknown effects from GMO foods doesn't mean we should stop researching GMOs completely... It just means we probably shouldn't introduce GMOs into the wild without a lot more scrutiny.

Yeah, to stop researching GMO food is a daft response from folk who know nothing. Makes my blood boil.
