Daily Deal: ExoMount Touch Universal Car Mount

from the good-deals-on-cool-stuff dept

If you use your phone's apps to navigate new cities or to stream music while you're stuck in traffic, the $20 ExoMount Touch Universal Car Mount could help you stay hands-free and keep your head up and eyes on the road. It fits smartphones that are up to 3.46’’ wide, can rotate for landscape use and swivels 360 degrees. It can mount to most surfaces with its strong suction cup (no stickers to fight with), so you can easily take it with you and use in a friend's car.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

I really with they'd come up with something better than suction cups. Literally, the only surface I could stick it to in the last two cars I've owned would be the windshield. The other surfaces are all textured, and those things will not stick. I've tried, believe me. My poor TomTom has to ride in the cup holder.
