I must be missing something. Bluetooth is an extremely short-range technology; if it can "see" your phone, you can almost certainly already see your car. So what useful thing does this device do?

Besides, with more and more cars these days coming with a keyfob that lets you remotely honk the horn, difficulty finding your car is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. All you really need to remember is which parking lot you parked in.

  My understanding is it uses GPS. When you leave the car you sync it with your GPS. When it syncs it creates a waypoint within the app. So when you're ready to find your car, you open the app (which will activate your phone's GPS) and it will use the previously made waypoint to guide you to your car.
  I could be wrong, but in ALL the videos and reviews I've seen and read, the range was too far for any other technology, and a few users complained about it screwing with their GPS on their phones.
  
  Personally, if you ask me, a standalone app (most of which are free) will get you the same end results without having to pay for a $30 piece of hardware that's trying to be sold as a high end speed charger

Android does this on its own within Google Now. After I've parked somewhere I can just jump over to Google Now and it tells me where I parked automatically using my GPS location from when I stopped.
