Bertelsmann and Xerox to Print Books on Demand

from the I-want-that-book-now! dept

It's about time, but Bertelsmann and Xerox have agreed to work together to help print books on demand with systems that will allow for the inexpensive ability to print one-off's of a book. The fact that this hasn't been done on a large scale earlier than this was always a surprise to me. It really doesn't seem that difficult.
