Europeans Copying the Silicon Valley Lifestyle

Interesting article in the NYTimes with lots of Europeans complaining about how their worklives are beginning to be more like Silicon Valley's crazy work ethic. Is this good or bad? If they really don't like it, why are they accepting it?
