Linus Torvalds secret business

from the do-you-like-linux dept

Have you heard of Transmeta ? I'm sure you will soon, redherring has got a sneak peak into the latest business venture of Linus Torvalds, inventor of Linux OS and it sound like the company he is involved with will be trying to make high volume chips for wireless internet devices (faster and better of course than those currently available).

    Relevant facts...

It should be noted that Transmeta, Inc. is not, in fact, a business venture of Linus Torvalds. Linus is merely an employee of Transmeta. The company is actually a business venture of Paul Allen, the Microsoft guy.

Hehe, sorry. I didn't mean to be nitpicky...just wanted to point it out so people didn't get confuseled.

Besides, I have a soft spot for people named "Ryan." With a name as great as that, he can post all the nonfactual info he wants. :)
