Redherring on Holiday Online Shopping

from the what-not-to-do dept

Zebulun writes "Red Herring is running an article "800.com leads battle against Xmas crunch" which covers all the problems online shoppers are seeing this season and faults poor eCommerce setups not being able to handle heavy Christmas shopping. It uses 800.com as a what-not-to-do example." However, the 800.com example is from what happened to them last year, not this year. I also don't think it's the greatest example. I was one of the people who discovered 800.com by that promotion (and happily got my 3 DVDs for a buck even if it did take a few tries) and now when I think about buying DVDs or electronics, I always check out 800.com. Maybe I'm just too understanding.
