Keep in mind these arent the brightest bulbs in the box. When they get a working model its not like their gong to go back and tell someone it worked properly. Just keep sending SMS messages eventually they might get the hint. Kind of like when they throw grenades, you just pull the pin and throw it back and you surely dont tell their friends about it.

Not really, another article (if you want me to find it again I will) also stated that if he were to make specific changes to the rock (ie. cutting, painting, whatever) that is also patentable.
Now as for what I was telling you, If you make the cow pies glow that IS patentable.
The point is real. Look at the link I posted and it clearly states that you CAN get a Patent on something like putting a rock in a box.
I almost forgot. another site I found also stated that because something like the pet rock is a fad, that getting a patent might be a waste of time because by the time the knock offs come out the fad has run its course. but you can still get one.
Dahl sold well over 5 million rocks@ $3.95 each. So my point was right on the money (pun intended)
Their Hyundai Christmas commercials were on TV for most of December where Im at. At the time it did peak my curiosity so I did a search to see who they were. I guess that was part their plan all along. It works.
From what I can find Gary Dahl, from Rock Bottom Productions, may not have actually gotten a patent on the pet rock (couldnt find the actual number at USPTO). If not my mistake.
BUT, in the link provided it shows that he could have actually gotten a design patent and/or a utility patent for it.
So Ill repeat, you should get a patent (design or utility) for the glowing cow pie.
What, did you get a new hood ornament recently?
JUST KIDDING!!
Actually I partially agree with you. BUT, the reason some want earbuds banned is to take responsibility off of themselves. an example: If someone wearing earbuds is in a crosswalk, a driver, late for work, runs the light and hits them. they can then say it wasnt their fault. It was the pedestrians fault for not hearing them coming and not jumping out of their way.
Kind of like seatbelt laws. if you are not wearing one and someone hits you, its automatically your fault. Even if you are parked in a parking lot.
No, deaf people cant cross streets, blind people cant walk the streets, and people in wheelchairs, on crutches, or other physical impairments should be scrutinized because they cant jump out of the way fast enough. Its for their own good you know. If they cant look out for their own safety, we are obligated to do it for them. Just lock them in a room so they cant harm themselves or others.
Yes, this is sarcasm reflecting the idiocies of our gov. and society.
I vote for disbarment. Then every one who received a letter should file a class action civil suit to permanently put them out of business and take every cent they have in damages. Just like they are threatening to do to the people.
Just a question for you. Didnt someone patent a rock in a box and market it as a pet? I think they even made a lot of money with it too. If someone would buy a rock maybe you should patent the glowing cow pie.
After that I guess the only thing left would be to sue the public libraries... Sue the people who actually donate books to the libraries.
Having those kinds of infringers around will only corrupt society and take money out of the pockets of the creators.
"Creators", jeez it almost sounds like Im referring to God or something. I think Im starting to get a complex myself. No offense.
I dont have a problem with artists earning a living. I have a problem with the "artists" that graduated from the Dire Straits school of business and can only relate to the tune "Rockstar". Its not an all or nothing reality. Just because someone hasnt won the lottery with EMI, dosent mean they dont have talent and shouldnt make money.
20 or so? I thouht I was bad :)
I didnt mean anything mean by it. If it came out that way, I apologize. I just didnt think theres a way to continue a conversation from one day to the next from a different post. but I could be wrong on that. He did follow it up with an "Oops".
I was wondering the same thing. I think he is trying to continue a conversation from the other day with someone else. Although I may agree with what hes saying I dont think this is how to continue the conversation he was having.
