"..When Biden Gets To Hang With Entertainment Industry Lobbyists"
US V.P. Biden's history has already proven he's a VERY gullible entertainment industry stooge anywayz. }:>
~
Hell, they probably take turns wiping the drool off each others' neckties.. which are definitely sinched way too tight. Can't wait for the day when one of OUR reporters hurls a shoe at Biden. Or Glickman! (even better!!). ;D
Hey, it wasn't me who put these morons in charge! ;P
Which is why many listeners of audiobooks prefer the DRM-free Torrent networks! DRM sucks! Always has, always will. Plays on one proprietary device if your lucky, but not someone else's brand device. Converting from one file format to another, so it works on all your other stuff? DRM proprietary hardware? I don't think so. Sick of it. }:p
It's DRM-free products all the way. ;)
It's damn near impossible to create anything these days with so many claims in copyrights, patents, and trademarks floating about like ocean-bound mines. Fight against it. Make yourself heared by the lawmakers that your demanding change and won't take "no" for an answer.
And if that doesn't work.. Keep those P2P networks singing!!
ARRRRRRRRRRR!! To Davy Jones's Locker with'em!!
;)
"Average American Consumes 34 Gigs Of Data Per Day"
34GB.. That's roughly the minimum of my monthly internet usage("excluding" TV and all else). Most of which is Linux & Unix Distributions. Along with all of those wonderful free, opensource apps!
;D
They're not what they once were... the way they use to connect with their fans. The fairytail has long been over for them. Now it's just IP, lawsuits against kids and their parents, & tone-deaf corporate mission statements. }:>
Reminds me of Darth Vader and The Evil Empire... Although it is difficult to keep a straight face now after seeing "Dark Helmet" in the movie "SpaceBalls" so, so long ago. ;D
I'm certain that when Mandelson's foreign-exchange visa has expired we can all rejoice when he returns to his country of origin.. NORTH KOREA!!
;p
;p
;p
A-O-Hell, America-Off-Line... Yeah, they reeeeeally suck.
Way back in the day, I remember having to manually clean customers' hard-drives to get rid of A.O.Hell's mountain of rubish piles.
Although there was a time when their free, stylishly-labeled CDs made great coasters for my coffee mug. And after that, the CDs made great test subjects for my new CD cross-shredder!

Intel Lawyers Again Go Too Far In Trademark Bullying..
Anything I had to say about Intel would involve something very negative about their parents and those "blue" friggin mime characters from their commercials. I'll spare everyone from the vulgar Intel bashing, by saying let's just not go there.
Just do what I do.. Use AMD, Nvidia, and VIA processors.
That's ok. No, really.. If it were me, there are hundreds of local copy shops with photo-printing machines that would be more than happy to accept my business. Oh, and my money too. ;D
With all the competition around, who the hell needs "Walfart" anyway? " }:> "
".. demanding that all file sharing services must use content filters."
Well.. The Pirate Bay just switched to DHT. Which means no cenralized servers to install content filters. :D
In the near future I can see other torrent-trackers doing the same(ditching the centralized tracker).
ALL of my software is opensource. NO M$/Apple here. :D
What they put in, CAN and WILL be removed. The opensource community would never tolorate this filtering crap anyway. Legitimate downloads or not, bit-torrenting itself is not a centralized service. There is no "entity" in charge.
Kazaa and others alike are worthless. Torn apart by MAFIAA industry groups, Script-kiddies, and noobs that don't know what the hell they are doing(RTFM).
Yeah.. that hole just keeps getting deeper and deeper.
I certainly won't miss them. Time for these MAFIAA groups to go the way of the dinosaur. Since they are THAT OLD, anyway.
CDs have out-lived their use. Just as 8-track & cassette tapes have. DVDs are not too far behind them.
ARRRRRRRR!
;)
I think the court ruling is great. Switching more assets over to Linux and Unix based platforms to satisfy demand would be a cheaper and more efficient option for China.
Screw the greedy bums at m$. We don't need their stinkin', over-priced licenses. And neither does China.
Talk about an un-educated opinion! So he thinks that opensource' main drive for quality is somehow influenced by business models?
Opensource is driven by passionate, dedicated individuals not just from the industry, but from regular, everyday people as well. Very little comes from some business model.
There is too much here to comment on, so I'll just say this:
Bill Snyder is just blowing hot air out of both ends. He didn't do ANY real research into opensource. And doesn't have a clue about the internet. Other than how that "mouse thingy" works. ;p
Gee, you think?! And I thought Apple was just another ultra-proprietary company. ;(
Just one more reason not to buy any of their over-priced, over-proprietary products in the future. (I don't buy M$ crappy, over-priced products, either). ;p
Third-party, open-source, fully hackable devices are the way to go. ;)
