Time for authors to take back their rights and connect DIRECTLY with their readers. Both Amazon and Macmillan come out of this smelling, and not like a rose.
IF (yes, IF) Apple announces a "tablet" in a couple of weeks, it will either a) crash and burn ala Newton (hang on for a while but then fade away) or b) take over the market ala iPod. Apple seems to do one or the other. Micro$oft seems to do most of the former, it just takes longer.
Since most (all) red light cameras are kept secret and "hidden" the drivers don't know of them, at least most of the drivers. Ergo, how can they change at those intersections?
If you read the Washington Post, you will quickly realize the "non-reporter" overhead is NOT spent on editors, or proof-readers, or researchers, or grammar checking.
The music industry was saved by the "bad" phillips cassette.
The movie industry was saved by the sale of "bad" VHS recordings of movies.
Look at how much $$ are in the sale of DVDs of TV series, bad and otherwise.

Make's sense to a 2 year old...
Since it saves them money, why not charge and "save" more? VA is free but they want a minimum of $25 [when you hit that they add via credit card].
Charging might, just might... (no it doesn't) if they knocked off some of the toll charge.
