Alternatively....
but at some point someone who works for him (I'm sure there's someone on staff who has accessed the internet once or twice) might want to explain to him that people can fact check him these days with relative ease online.
The cynic in me says that "people" fact checking him is not who it was aimed at.... the "people" are largely irrelevant in his world except as obedient cash cows.
If one assumes it was aimed at politicians who;
a/ Probably can't fact-check him on the internet and
b/ Become even less willing to try with the application of an envelope full of dead presidents
then it makes a whole lot more sense.

Re:
What I find truly amazing is your penchant for trying to rant about something irrelevant to the article in an attempt to obscure that you have no point to make other than that you hate Mike.
Any difference between titillation and porn is;
a/ In the eye of the beholder
b/ Irrelevant to any harm that "porn" may or may not do to a teenager and
c/ In no way removes the irony or indeed inevitability of it being the Daily Mail printing such a thing.
I do, however, find it unsuprising that you'd come out with such a rant since you are almost Techdirts own resident Daily Mail.
Oh, and if you show such a serious lack of understanding of teenagers in the relevance of "titillation vs. porn" in such an argument then either
a/ You are way too long away from being a teenager or
b/ On behalf of any putative offspring please don't become a parent.

Re:
a video game with millions of other players happens to force one player into violence
And while this is at least a possibility it's pretty much certain the individual involved will be a few sandwiches short of a picnic in other areas and already prone to violence making the blaming of the game about equivalent of calling for a worldwide ban on peanuts because of a relative handful of fatal peanut allergies.

Re: Re: Re: Re: The religion part.
In the case of the soldier, he clearly was not acting as he should have and is no Christian. Just as an alleged Muslim who kills people in a similar circumstance isn't really following that faith, either.
Except that's exactly the point I think Paul was making. Both may well consider themselves to be devout Christian/Muslim though the mainstream of their respective faiths do not consider them so. Yet the media will typically write the one story as essentially "Muslim==terrorist" and the other (if indeed they mention his "faith" at all) as "Crazy fringe christian fundi nutter" when both may well be acting in accordance with and out of obligation to their own personal version of their faith.

Re: Idea for a business
Step 6. ????
Step 6. Buy more politicians until you have enough to legislate stealing unrelated money direct from the public whether customers, "pirates" or otherwise......

Re: Re:
Get the point?
Yep... democracy is a really bad form of government when the "democratic process" is fully in the hands of a tiny tiny fraction of the population. Which might explain why virtual voting pilots generally meet such resistance.

And that is why driving while under the influence of alcohol is illegal
But killing someone with a car while drunk as a skunk recieves a significantly smaller jail sentence typically than, say, fraud or copyright infringement. Nice to know where the government's priorities lie isn't it?
