This was pretty exciting when I saw it, considering I'm a college student. But after looking at the selection of textbooks I knew I would find nothing for me when the highest math course available on Flatworld was "introduction to Statistics"... sometimes being an engineer sucks D:
wow, maybe the ones who really need to read ACTA, are the ones who support it? wait the only people who support ACTA are the ones who had a hand in writing it... hmmmmmm...
I would be very much for this, even if they deny the invitation... or ignore it entirely, then at least it will be proof that their call to "meet" with the opposition is bogus.
Nah, if it's there business they can deny whoever they want, whether doing so will have any consequences is a completely different matter. If they raise enough stink about it, the hotel will probably either back down or risk a bad reputation which is bad for business.
Whether the charges were true or not, the fact that the site offered a multitude of legitimate services, meaning the one at fault are the infringers not the method with which they infringed. So, the overreaction was shutting down the entire site, kind of like shutting down the US postal service because people can send counterfeited material through it.
All the US government is doing is pushing internet users to less legitimate services like Isohunt or Piratebay... since they kind of don't care about US copyright laws.
