Anybody else remember walking to their friends house to get a copy of the latest cassette tape? (that's a mini reel-to-reel analog magnetic music storage device to all you youngsters out there).
These days, I'd just walk my 1TerraByte external harddrive over there and give them a copy of so much music it would take them 2 months of solid listening just to hear it all--and it wouldn't take more than a couple hours to do so.
So, yeah... Internet goes down, sneakernet comes back up. Nobody will be surprised. People and their innovation, gotta love it.
Yeah right, like burning a copy of "yodelling's greatest hits" or "my favorite coffee rings" ever really deprived anybody of more than a coffee-table decoration...

I'd never thought of it that way, that is *VERY* insightful. In fact, I'm going to use that explanation later--likely many laters.
I see you have trouble with word definitions.
Here ya go:
drama (usually uncountable; plural dramas or dramata)
A composition, normally in prose, telling a story and intended to be represented by actors impersonating the characters and speaking the dialogue
Such a work for television, radio or the cinema (usually one that is not a comedy)
Theatrical plays in general
A dramatic situation in real life
(slang) Rumor, lying or exaggerated reaction to life events; melodrama; an angry dispute or scene; intrigue or spiteful interpersonal maneuvering.

In short, the Big Content companies are like stoopid Ferengi. Greedy, lobeless, feckless, (worthless?) suits who know they want money, and like pigeons know only one trick and cannot be taught another one.
...and that's why those in power fear the internet, it could be a gateway to true democratization of power; as opposed to the faux democratization of power we've had up to now.
They don't need to be sneaky--there aren't enough people paying attention to matter.
Lately there's really hardly any secrets--just stuff which is severely under-reported. All the under-handed crap is right out there in the open, just not publicised.
Were it not for Politics (heretofore referred to as "The Greatest Show on Earth") and their power to distract everybody from what's really going on, then the world "Leaders" would have to address actual problems.
Seeing as real work has always been a turn off for megalomaniacs everywhere, The Greatest Show on Earth stumbles ever onward with unmitigated support from those in charge--lest they be held accountable by an awakening populace.

That being said, let's then take the lazy road and not pass it--seeing as it's all the same anyhow.
