I live exclusively off my art - I code for a living. But at the same time I try to contribute to society - open source. I do it for fun and pleasure of seeing thumbs-up from a user that found my feature useful.
Wait - you don't consider programming an art? Somebody is opposing my view on the internet - oh noez, call the internet police.
Because pirates are slimy douchebags that refuse to allow the dissemination of inconvenient facts.
It seems you should look up the definition of a fact. Facts are checkable and I did not see any source links in your opinions.
You basically got angry because we, the community, reported your comment as offensive - I for one sure got offended when some anonymous nobody told me I'm not an artist. I cried all the way to bathroom while wailing about how the internet is full of not-so-nice people that deny my existance.

No - he told his readers that his content will pop up on funnyjunk in no-time (if he uses DMCA). He never asserted funnyjunk ignores dmca requests.
aaand:
1. "cried like a baby": so every blog is crying? "I had a bad day" ---> pussy!
Try again.
2. "unwarranted self importance": Fail by default (opinion of a bad troll? Who cares.)
3. "buying public opinion": his readers are influenced by his opinion, sure. I don't see that as buying. Nobody does, except maybe for Carreon. And you, if you actually believe your words.
You sound like that 12 years old admin - hoping to turn public opinion with bad trolling - #gullible
(see what I did there?)
ps: Oh and you should read up on irony since you obviously don't know what it is.
To be fair - google n-gram was made by google programmers but with data and tested usability of metadata this team of researches extracted: What we learned from 5 million books
and they also mentioned that this is just metadata - not actual data from books and therefore not copyrightable (correct me here; not sure about this).
Re: FUCK IT.. Techdirters....just force me to be Carreons wife
This is not trolling. You don't get funny by fancy fonts and failed attempts to write an ellipsis. It's obvious you're on Carreon's side of argument and that makes you a bad troll - you should use an emotional bait and wait for response and THEN assert some lie as a fact. You know - we are more vulnerable when we're confused by your... khm... "esteemed trolling". But hey - you can't have good trolling without bad ones.
Go somewhere else if you think soft trolling works here. We can read here and we can also separate shit from gold.
I don't like funnyjunk, BUT...
How is that relevant - what you like? Or are you trying to "FOX balance" your reply?
And this is not presented as opinion but as fact. And if it is untrue, then it's slander.
Really? Why is that - I read it as a joke. A funny comic. Opinion, mixed with awesomeness. And here you are - stating an opinion of artists intentions as a fact. Irony much?
FunnyJunk does their best to comply
Really? Admin posted lies to their forums after Oatmeal first post. Backlash from funnyjunk users. Oatmeal posts links into a reply. FunnyJunk removes them (and just that) and them replies that it(infrigment) is not true - these links are dead!
You're putting a lot of lipstick onto a very ugly pig. (or phrase "their best" is meant to be sarcastic)
If Oatmeal is the bully here, it's bullying a crackdealer across the street from school.

It's working out pretty good - trolling a troll is much more fun when that troll sucks at it.
