I "reserved" one of the content removed shirts with T-spring in case they restarted it (which they did) because if it restarted, I wanted to be notified about it so I could buy one.
It turned out that it didn't just notify me, it was the purchase as well, which, at the time it went through, suddenly made my credit card almost $40 overdrawn! Well, I'm getting the T-shirt, I've paid the extra on the credit card and, overall, I'm not complaining, I just know what will happen if there's a next time!
What? You meant people took that seriously? Someone at the time showed me and we went "Oh dear!" and laughed because it was... well, funny.
Do you remember the tourist of death? I heard (again, at the time) it took a panel of experts seven weeks to determine that it was fake. Myself, I took one look, saw the angle of the jet and knew straight away it wasn't real. But boy did it look good.
Now streaming from my CD player to my speakers, "Too Much Heaven" by The Bee Gees. Money earned by them for this song streaming: None. Does that make me a pirate?
The our stupid current government got in and they claim that in 2021, nobody will need/want more than 12M worth of bandwidth, so faster connections are not needed.
to assemble massive amounts of information, of arcane minutia, without simultaneously teaching them how to assemble those bits of information into integrated bodies of knowledge
At the time he did not have Wikipedia, which took those massive amounts of information and made them into an integrated body of knowledge. Wikipedia launched in 2006, almost exactly five years after that article was written. Therefore that article is obsolete.
Here in Australia there are some commercials that were made after the TPP was finalized promoting trade agreements. In one was a farmer with a wooden crate of oranges saying "With a trade agreement we are better off because we can sell more oranges to China".
Excuse me, I need a new bullshit meter.... Mine just exploded for the seventh time in three months.
Australia has a monopoly pay TV providor in Foxtel. However, starting several years ago, they started offering the sports channels as a seperate, add-on package, as for over 10 years, the biggest customer complaint was having so many sports channels in the basic package.
The down side is, you must get their basic package in order to also get the sports package, but that's not so bad as they halved the price of their basic package last year. Well, to me it is not bad, as I don't subscribe to the sports channels!
My experience says it is keywords. I found an article about Bin Laden's cassette collection which I found interesting and I knew a few people I knew, would also find it interesting. I linked to the article and FaceBook said no. I removed the preview of the page (as the headline featured "Bin Laden" in it but the URL did not) and suddenly I was able to post it as if nothing had happened. I'm pretty certain, actually, this was also a BBC article.
92 million customers? Well their ship may be sinking but, hey, that's not exactly a number to sneeze at either. I'm not saying their numbers haven't gone down, but ..... Well, lets say once these numbers settle, they wind up with just 85 million subscribers: That's still 85 million people they should work at keeping happy!
I can see this happening here in Australia as one of our shitty-est ISP's (TPG) just bought one of our best ISP's (iiNet). Also, with the National Fraudband Network, the government now owns all the phone network and plans to sell it to one company in the future.

But I'd highly consider a T-shirt with "Nospacesorspecialcharacters" printed on it!

Free TV?
On the flyer in the fine print it says: "TV: On Demand selections subject to charge indicated at time of purchase."
So which one is it? And by capitalising the O and D in "On Demand" makes it sound like a name, so I am surprised there is no TM next to it!
