If one cultivates a connection with the fans you can make money from other sources such as concerts, t-shirts, etc. But the artists and more importantly the industry has to understand it is ultimately the fans who will make you a success.
Another issue with copyright is the length is unreasonable. Given that most works even major hits have a relatively short sales life with 90%+ of the sales being front loaded in the first part of the release and 99%+ being done after about 5 years the current length is totally unreasonable.
Unless his story got on the local TV/Radio news or was splashed on the front page of the local fish wrap very few would ever know what happened. Now the world knows because of his stupidity.
Southwest Airlines once got into trademark dispute with another company. The CEOs agreed to hold an arm wrestling contest with the loser of each round donating to charity. Both companies agreed that Southwest could use their variation.
What is interesting is most Twitter storms rarely get beyond the participants. The rest of the world is blissful unaware of the storm unless someone brings it to their attention. Its not that they are unaware of Twitter storms but find them a rather pointless exercise in immaturity.
Woods should learn Babs that stirring up nest is a good way for others to find out that you are a certified turd.
The problem with hidden proof is no one can verify it. Do the Russians (and many others) have competent hackers? (Yes). Can election results be corrupted? (Yes). Does this prove the Russians hacked the elections? (No). Elections have been corrupted without a computer; the joke is the most loyal Democratic voters are the dead.
One major flaw, her problems were self-inflicted and many detested her because of her corrupt antics. Some chose to vote for Trump but others chose not to vote. Those who refused to vote if dragged to the polls might have voted for Trump instead.
True this never ending saga is impacted by the fact digital records can stay around much longer than paper records. But it also shows that running private email servers to avoid scrutiny has a high probability of keeping one in the investigators' cross hairs for a long time.
Somehow the volume does not make sense. What is overlooked is the number of drives and disks this requires and their costs. Looking up internal drives on Amazon, 50 TB or storage would cost now about $2500 if one bought 5/6 TB drives. Also, why would these files be anything other than text or MSO type files.
It seems that way, either the donkeys are scared of a very close election like 2000 or they have some internal polling that says they are getting stomped. Either way this would lay the ground work for legal challenges like 2000 in Florida to force a donkey favorable recount.
Does anyone in the NYPD know anything about databases? I can design a system to track the property using a couple of different db engines, the biggest headache will be the user interface.
Do not Canadian law, but are the trolls trying move into "virgin" territory because the US courts calling their bluffs often enough to make it dangerous to continue?
Splitting hairs really, the key is he cannot practice law and must reapply after 4 years. There is no guarantee that his application would be approved.
That is one of the major fears this type of stupidity causes. However, the local "Criminal Class" aka legislature is likely to come up with something equally as stupid.
Re: ...'reporters' who have never met or spoken to Ms. Trump.
If the person is living, you should try to talk them and get their side of the story. Most people will only know/tell part of the story and failure to get the full story will lead to situations like this. Also, some people have vendetta against the person and are likely to print/say any rumor no matter how outlandish as a fact.
After the suit was filed I believe the Daily Mail surrendered by publishing a retraction. This indicates the editors, once they did their job, realized the original article was malicious.
