The DOJ right now is IMO where you and other investigative journalists REALLY need to plug the enema bag into. They are at the heart of and/or complicit in every scandal plaguing Obama:
* green energy fraud a la solyndra - where's the investigations?
* wall street train-wrecking the economy - same question
* IRS used for political purposes - same question
* NSA spying - same question
* Fast & furious - same question
All of these are major scandals that DOJ should be investigating/prosecuting but they're not doing a damn thing. Instead they're busy hounding "little people" like Aaron Swartz, Weev, etc.
Eric Holder and his cronies should be fired/impeached/indicted/whatever for abject dereliction of duty as attorney general of the US. And the DOJ needs to be shamed, publicly, severely, and often to make this happen.
Best comment I've read in a long time, and you totally hit the nail on the head. Why should the employee show loyalty to an organization that would throw him/her under the bus as soon as it was deemed the expedient thing to do?
This raid happened immediately after the internet blackout protest over SOPA. Obviously a tit-for-tat. The people responsible for this BS need to burn. In jail.
Sometimes if I'm shopping for something electronic, I can find it cheaper elsewhere. But if it's not much more, I buy from Newegg because (a) their consistent good service and (b) I support their fight against assholes like this.
Pre-Snowden, if you told people the NSA is doing man in the middle attacks on services everyone in the country uses, most would probably say "yeah right, when pigs fly!"
Well you better duck to avoid all the low-flying pigs now!
As soon as the corporations start feeling financial fallout from all the NSA spying, maybe then we'll start to see some REAL change as said same megacorps start yanking the leashes of their congressional/government lap dogs they paid good money for.
