Who do we fear?
And it comes down to trust. I can download a drm free film from a torrent site and hope it doesn't contain device crippling malware/trojans (you would be wise to scan the file after download)? Or do I download a free, drm laden film from the studios that will probably not work how I want or cripple my device? The sad thing for Hollywood is more people trust the wares and goodwill of generous 'pirates' than the producers of the original content.

Re:
But what about those terrorists at home, who use money to leverage fear and uncertainty and destroy governmental credibility? Those are surely terrorists, as their sole purpose is to make money by any means necessary, including weakening governmental trust.
I'm sorry but did you just call most high ranking government officials terrorists, because they are doing the best job destroying all credibility of the government.

Re: Re: Re: Can we please stop using "Google" as a verb?
Yet "a cursory search" means I searched something. What, exactly? My pocket, the yellow pages, the library, the internet? Sure, it can be implied from context but there isn't a quick word for doing a search on the internet, hence modern linguistics turned "world-wide web search" into "google".

Huh?
Just because someone makes money in some other manner doesn't mean they automatically owe money to someone else when they were using their legal streams.
In this case isn't it just free third party advertising? Usually companies pay others to advertise their wares...at least...that is how I always understood it.

All it takes is one crooked cop, one crooked FBI agent, one crooked munitions guard to put assault rifles in the hands of criminals. Clip capacity bans are as effective as soda volume limits...if I want 24-oz of soda, I'll but two sodas. If I want to shoot sixty rounds I'll carry six pistols (in most cases these attackers carry multiple weapons...not bothering to reload).

Yeah, those sound beautiful. Flows off the tongue as the most eloquent of prose.
