Please enlighten us oh wise owl... according to most news sources he "purchased the workprint release from a street vendor". Did he actually break into a house, rape, mutilate and then murder the children/spouse/owner before making off with his ill-gotten disc?
Part of the economy of influence that corrupts our government today is that Capitol Hill has become, as Representative Jim Cooper put it, a "farm league for K Street."

Campaign donations/contributions when in Government = Jobs after Government... and that goes for researchers, secretaries and all the usual Senate / Congress hangers on.
It isn't... At local levels it is very easy to buy power and influence. I've read of companies who threaten to close whole factories unless they receive tax breaks, or unless the state/county/city/town spend vast somes on infrastructure that only benefits them.
Watch the Lessig @Google video on Youtube, whether you are left, right, centre the Senate and Congress of the US is broken and you all know it.
Re: Re: WSJ/NBC Poll: This Congress Is 'One of the Worst'
Exactly the point Larry Lessig makes... the people have allowed this to happen through inaction and apathy. The Senate and Congress are now unable to make changes as their whole lives depend on the system that is in place, they suck up to industry to ensure contributions whilst elected and also to provide employment after their stint in government. Look at the figures for politicians who become lobbyists! It's a lovely graph that just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Watch this >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ik1AK56FtVc it's only an hour long but Larry Lessig will explain why Senate & Congress will never do anything but maintain the status quo.
Hey... Google pay for bandwidth, web sites and staff to manage them and then they advertise YOUR CONTENT for free!! I don't see any artists moaning about their Youtube pages that have become an extension of their social media! Hell they'll even HELP YOU monetise it and give you a percentage!!
The simple answer is yes. The more complex answer is that his supervisor at BAE was a jerk. BAE should have distanced themselves from Bobby McCreight and reprimanded him for the things he said about Sgt Meyer.
Maybe if they didn't spend $100 million to make a film, also produced quality rather than poor remakes of 50's classics and didn't put everything out in 3D they might make a bit more cash.
Apart from that he said GONE, as in NO ONE is making films in Spain, Sweden and Egypt.... liar, liar pants on fire!
Record sales were already plummeting as Napster showed up. FTFY.
Look at all those lovely artists now earning money directly from their fans rather than a few cents on a track or a dollar on an album... look at the increased revenue from artists performing live! It's the middle men, the old style gatekeepers who are living in the 1980's early 90's when they used to peddle shiny silver discs who are losing money, everyone else seems to be doing alright!
