on the other hand....
I believe the government would argue that this case being handled WITHOUT the special laws just PROVES HOW BADLY WE NEED THEM!
After all, he wasn't actually convicted of revenge porn, just piddling hacking & Id theft. If they'd had brand new, sparkly ANTI-PORN STATUTES then they could have locked this miscreant up for life....and let us pay for his upkeep the whole time.

Actually, this is standard practice
...the same type of crap as when a plane goes down and the lawyers sue EVERY MANUFACTURER OF EVERY NUT & BOLT on the plane looking for settlements...even if the plane crashed due to pilot error.

Making tin-foil hats stylish since 2015
Hats dipped in silver nano-wire with an air-gap of 300 nm should serve to efficiently block EVERY wavelength of EMR (unless I am mistaken & forgot my wavelength theory).
The down side is that I imagine an entire suit made out of this material would make a fine faraday cage and your cellphone, pager, etc would be useless unless carried on the outside of your attire.
Finally - FANTASTIC survival clothing material for cold environments, warm blankets in emergency kits, etc!

Am I the only one....
that thinks it just MIGHT be a good idea to examine the product specs BEFORE you make it? I mean, for instance, what if your business model were mixing chemicals and you mixed metal powder, Aluminum & Boron (III)Oxide? Just mix that baby up and ship it off for someone else to find out you just MADE FREAKING THERMITE and burnt a whole town to the ground because nobody in the transportation chain took any precautions.

Just because there is little competition
Doesn't make their OUTSTANDINGLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE any less offensive. Quality customer service is NOT dependent upon the size of the market or number of competitors....it is a VITAL FACTOR of doing business which COMCAST will (apparently) never learn.

2) "You know, we are the ONLY people you really want to be doing business with 'IF YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN'"
3) "Here's an offer you can't refuse....no seriously! Just shaddup, don't read the fine print and sign on the line. OR ELSE"
Are they going to find Jimmy Hoffa buried in someone's Cello case?
