Well, if we consider that risk itself is a potential harm (an action that might result in harm), then potential risk is an action, which might result in a completely different action that is risky.
For example, if I shoot a bullet into the sky, that's potential harm: it could hit somebody in the head and kill him. It's risky (and irresponsible).
Conversely, if I were to eat a cheeseburger, that's "potential risk": what it, instead of eating a cheeseburger, I drove a drill into my eye socket? Therefore, it's potentially risky to do something that is not risky at all.
Re: Re: Re: Everybody needs to calm the fuck down.
Hey, let's try this out: next time you fly, I'm going to single you and stop you, and require you to list every single STD and lover and instances of unprotected sex you've had in the last 10 years, and then I'm going to require you to rotate your arm on its socket 360 degrees, before you board the plane. Then we'll take a measuring ruler and write down the length of your penis and put it on all the digital displays in the airport.
If you're unable or unwilling to do so, you can chose to go home and not board the plane (of course, in that case we'll flag you and security may stop you on the way to the door and grope you because, you know, it's fun). Since flying is not a right, there's no reason why everyone else got to board the plane and you didn't, right?
Re: Re: Re: Everybody needs to calm the fuck down.
By that standards, if you're denied entry to an airplane because you're black and/or gay, and having done no wrong, because you can just say "It's not a right!!!"
Yeah, it's all a conspiracy. The article agrees with you about how questionable is the study. He's clearly up to something and wants to make you fall for this sort of crap!
I think a study will probably show that those people that criticize an article for not saying something, that is in fact being said in said article at a certain point, are people that don't normally read and only skim up to a certain point. We could compare that data and determine that the AC that complained is unable to read more than 4 paragraphs of text before making their mind and going all WHARRGARBL on the article.
Anyone want to do an empirical study and publishing the results?
"We apologized for not having met her expectations and expressed our regrets for the unpleasant experience"
Hilarious. They are sorry that she had the expectations for them to be perfect, and they apologize that her absurd expectations weren't met! Clearly she was expecting caviar and wine with her horrible screening.
I'm sure the way your grandpa lives is very interesting, but we're discussing this guy here who's pretty much sleep and exercise deprived with near zero contact with any sort of exterior news.

We're going to need some empirical evidence for that.
