he has a militarized police force, an apathetic civilian population that barely cares the world hates them because their leaders are committing war crimes constantly. Millions of dollars he has stolen from the people he is supposed to represent. the backing of those charged with American safety that instead are using their power to steal, spy and silence anyone that opposes them.
He can keep committing treason because he knows no one will call him out on it, save some patriot or vigilante that kills him
there was supposed to be checks and balances to when those in power are corrupted and when those balances fail people were supposed to revolt and force the system back to a more uncorrupted time.
But instead people stopped caring and just ignored it. The more you ignore it the worse it gets until your either fighting back or being rounded up into camps because your views are different than someone else's, save they have the power and influence to lock away those they don't like
it's a blind, they needed any excuse to lock him up. This isn't about him, it's about sending a threat to anyone else that refuses to just follow orders and ignore what the government tells them to ignore. The American government treats dissent as terrorism generally.
"Do what we say, report on what we tell you to or this will happen to you"
if you tell a lie long and loud enough most of the fools will believe it without thinking about it. Those that dissent are taken away in the middle of the night by thugs in masks never to be heard from again, for the crime of speaking ill against those in charge.
when in doubt lie your face off it's unlikely most people will bother fact checking whatever you say these days. The few that do would not have believed you anyway
your land of the free home of the brave died out decades ago. Apathy the silent killer, since most people have shown they are no longer willing to fight to defend their rights, they prefer to trust in those in power not to abuse their power.
Now laws are ignored if those in charge don't like someone or want to make an example of them. They do what they want when and how they want to, dam any rights or laws that get in their way.
police are treated as above the laws they enforce these days, they have discovered that when few care they break the laws, they can break even more laws. Oversight is of the past the present is do what you want, kill who you want(just have to claim you feared for your life, and your off scot free), beat up/harass/intimidate whoever you want.
sometimes I wonder if the police would actually follow the laws they enforce if they were disarmed or if they would become even more criminal and paranoid that everyone hates them and are out to murder them
