I owned a v360 and used a modded ROM onthat, external display showed a custom gif, etc etc etc.
I also owned a v3t RAZR and had a modded ROM on that, too. I did alot more with those two phones than you were ever supposed to. Motorola didn't make it hard at all, at least, not after all the russian coders had their time with it. (It seemed like all the mods came from Russia for the RAZR when I was using it.)
This shit is dumb. I won't be heading to Verizon for a Droid X until this has (and it WILL) been eliminated or completely bypassed by modders, coders and hackers.
Could you contradict yourself anymore with that statement? That fact that there is "more noise" is a result of the INCREASED production. Things won't be less productive. You're basically saying its going to be tough to compete online. GOOD. Competition is good for everyone. The wheat will get separated from the chaff and the people who create crap will either have to get better at their craft or get a real job. The people who create good music will get rewarded. Oh wait, according to you they won't. Since according to your vision, people can't make money if they don't go through labels or some bullshit like that. Or if filesharing continues to exist. I dunno, you'll come up with something, I have faith in you. (key point is that you will "come up with something." Like, from your asshole.)
And before that you are talking about a fractured audience. Don't know where you came up with that idea, but it must have sounded good at the time. Did the audience for music suddenly split into two camps? Sounds like bullshit to me dude.
What do you care? If you haven't figured out by now that you shouldn't look for new articles over the weekend, maybe you need new hobbies. Or just one.
Actually, thats where you are wrong. As I understand it, in the UK you can do WHATEVER YOU WANT, ANYWHERE YOU WANT, unless its EXPLICITLY forbidden. This works both ways.
So where you say "in the UK you never have the right to do ANYTHING you like in your business or inside your property. NEVER." it should read: "In the UK you ALWAYS have the right to do ANYTHING you like in your business or inside your property, unless explicitly forbidden by law."
Or any open space within landing distance from where they are in the air. You don't get a pilots license without training for this sort of thing. Kind of a lame knee-jerk reaction though. Do you think the FAA never thought of it? How clever.
On some other sites where this has been mentioned, people equate the Hulu "pay for commercials" deal as similar to cable, except on cable they started out with no commercials. (Correct me if I'm wrong on that)
I won't pay for commercials, and if I only get access to this season of a show, I won't go for it. I loved it when it first came out, I didn't even know they had commercials (thanks to Adblock) until the started posting a marker to tell you to turn off adblocking software. These days Adblock doesn't block the ads anymore but I don't mind 30 seconds (or less) of commercials here and there, when the content is otherwise free of charge. The minute I start paying for TV again it better come without adverts.
Further, I can already output Hulu to my TV, for me its this technical innovation called an S-Video cable. It works brilliantly, since my PC is only 6 feet from the TV. Hulu's quality is not greater than what my TV can display, so it works. Is that cheating? I sure as hell hope not, cause there's nothing they can do to stop me from using my TV as a monitor.
in the end, you should know that file traders have been around since the beginning of the internet, and they will always be there. it is fact. it is truth.
just for clarity, a lot of movies made in the last 5 years have leaked to the internet even before they hit the theater. that hasn't stopped any one movie from going to the theater or from being put out on dvd. studios will get money from the release no matter what happens on the file sharing sites.
thanks to piracy, those of us who had never heard of this movie have definitely heard of it now. the publicity the movie gets from this will make sure it gets seen by a wider audience. perhaps more than anything, this is a perfect example of the promotional value of file sharing.
My girlfriend is looking at me crosseyed as I hoot and holler, but I don't care, this is HUGE!!! Of course it will get appealed, but until then, YAY!!!!
So much for IFPI's case, huh? I think they just obliterated their entire "Please note that we do not admit that we or the IFPI Represented Companies are responsible for detecting infringing material and notifying you of it." line of reasoning, eh?
You are, IFPI, VERY MUCH responsible for detecting infringing material and notifying google of it!!! STUFF IT!!!

Its not a secret that Mike has very strong opinions about patent law. How is gratuitous to offer his own opinion on his own blog?

As others in that post stated, laws don't allow behavior, they generally prohibit behavior.
So, why did you think you were right, again, when you were wrong?
