Kevin is a regular guest on Opie & Anthony on XM/Sirius 202. they boys were instrumental in getting Kevin on board and so far its been great. Fans of both shows are getting some great entertainment now with more variety.
What CEO is going to commit career suicide by suggesting something so radical? For every CEO who might have the balls to go that route, there are 100 who would readily step in and tell shareholders what they want to hear, that the company CAN stop piracy/free music.
unfortunately a lot of money and time will be wasted until the realization comes that the established industry will NOT willingly change and needs to die a quick death.
wow, how arrogant. Why would anyone in their right mind, who wants to spend money on advertising, do so without knowing exactly how many people are viewing your ads?
Unless guys were actively jacking in front of their laptops or had no headphones I dont see why its the business of some effete "Barista" (aka glorified coffee pot slinger) to be inspecting what people are watching.
I saw this yesterday via a Shacknews link. I'm not versed in any kind of comuputer language but I can grasp the level of work that was put into it. It is stunning.
i'm surprised Buckmaster backed down and removed the adult section. I did enjoy his total smashing of ebay criticisms saying CL was enabling child exploitation while one of ebays subsidiaries is one of the biggest offenders on the planet
I got shuttled off to a Catholic day camp where the only break between having the bible rammed down your throat in a mosquito infested open air hall was swimming and making stupid crafts like macaroni pictures. Thanks Mom & Dad!
The "Child Traffickers" on Craigs reminds me a lot of the same bullshit law enforcement used to to try to sell to the public about "drug pushers" who would supposedly hang around schoolyards, get a kid to hand out free samples and then "charge them" once hooked. unfortunately (or fortunately) they don't exist. After having been a hardcore addict for close to 30 years i had NEVER seen a dealer do such a thing. Most of them have kids and also know the penalties involved so they only dealt with lowlifes like myself.
Regarding Craigs and "child traffickers", I'm sure some southeast asian countries have real issues with this sort of thing but knowing many of the women who work off of Craigs in my area all are doing it voluntarily, many prefer working for themselves and many are educated, over 30, down to earth people who aren't being beaten by some stereotyped "pimp". I actually lived in a state that had rational laws regarding prostitution but seeing that we were the only ones in the nation, the local politicos had to change (I'm speaking about Rhode Island) and made sure we all had a nanny state in our bedrooms making sure "THE CHILDREN" were protected.
I can no longer use ebay because I owe back money to PayPal. More worrying is that Paypal has become so ubiquitous as far as an online payment option that it goes well beyond ebay purchases and into many e-commerce sites.
you know, "social graces" like smoking coke, whacking heroin, beating your liver into submission with Jack Daniels and fucking every guy/gal who arouses you.
Stevie is in her sunset years, time to get on the bus to the dog track.
Used games will be a non-issue shortly.....probably by the next generation of game consoles. DLC is now a large percentage of PC games and MS is releasing more and more AAA content as Digital downloads as well.
On a related note Kotaku has a rather terse piece about Gamestop's "new" stores. They seem to be following in the footsteps of Blockbuster whereby they are not concentrating on the changing industry:
