The money might be nice, but now he is in for a lifetime of police intimidation and harassment. Since he dared to make them pay for their illegal actions, and they don't like that.
I take it you did not hear about California requiring gun owners to register their firearms then deciding that some guns were now illegal. Oh look they all these people that trusted them enough to register with them. Want to guess what they did? They sent out police to seize the now illegal guns, guns that were not illegal when they were registered, but are illegal now that they know who has them.
They are not the only state to start gun registration, save the other states didn't have as many trusting fools that believed the info would never be used to seize their guns. Most citizens boycotted the registration.
Yet those in charge are doing their utmost to remove the 2nd amendment from existence. That should be setting off alarm bells considering how heavily militarized the police have become. Do we really need another massacre that follows disarming populace controlled by a heavily armed military force that pretends to police
police are treated as above the laws they are supposed to know and enforce. murder someone oh that's paid time off because police never do anything wrong apparently.
The culmination of their government acting like petty dictators. They no longer feel a need to hide it, they can do it in the open. They have open contempt for the American citizen, they ignore the laws when it pertains to them, laws are for the serfs not the self perceived elites. They intimidate and/or assassinate anyone that confronts them about their criminal acts. They have been building up the police into a domestic army for the last several decades, with no accountability for their crimes, because they are police and whatnot.
Enjoy your dystopian tyrrannistic police state Amerika. We tried to warn you what was happening, but we got called crazy conspiracy theorists for saying America was turning into another tin pot dictatorship. Now you can openly enjoy your state sanctioned police brutality, the secret laws with secret courts and secret evidence the defence is never allowed to see. The laws passed that make it illegal to protest or dissent against those in charge. The NDDA where the government decides what defines a terrorist, coincidently distrusting your government makes you a terrorist these days.
You stopped being the land of the free on 9/11 much like how Germans lost their freedoms when the Reichstag burned down.
I hate saying this, but Americans need a bloodbath caused by their government to kick them into gear of tearing down the current criminal government. The constant apathy towards what goes on in their country as long as it does not happen to them is dooming them into becoming another Russia or North Korea.
Here I thought citizens were supposed to overthrow their government when said government proves it has open contempt for the laws they demand everyone else but them follow.
EA will glorify living in a police state no doubt. Something about having to be compliant with heavy handed authority to stop the terrorists from winning.
They had the chance to do something different with their other games and did fuck all with them. All hail the glorious American empire
90% of the time police are treated as above the law. Youn have your court system for the rich, they buy their way out of whatever crimes they do. You have the court system for the cops, their word is taken above and over any evidence to the contrary. Then you have the courts for the serfs where your guilty until proven innocent.
does no one else find it bizzare that the police are not being trained to know the laws they are supposed to be enforcing and instead seem to be trained in the art of treating citizens like enemy combatants?
why do we need another army instead of police officers
Christopher dorner might have not been the horrible person he was portrayed as. the way things have been coming out about how police "do business" and intimidate lie murder witnesses into collaboration.
