Two points your argument did not address. The general default position that there should be no DRM period. If that is the cause your argument is moot. Second, if there is DRM where are my rights (Under US Law) to make an archive copy of the product for my own personal use? Yes, you as the producer may become guilty of breaking the law, but I as a consumer am guilty if I exercise my rights under the law. So what this option is doing is to force the producer into taking my rights into account.
Interesting argument, I suppose you could maintain that markets are regulated either by monopolies or by the government and the choice is who do you want to do the regulating.
You are right, they are not silly comments. They are badly punctuated, ill thought out, attention seeking, uneducated, and boring, but they are not silly.
Making the same stupid point over and over again does not make it less stupid just boring. For example anything you do requires you invest your time, therefore nothing can be free. So can we please stop the it is not really free because... comments?
Perhaps, Ms Savage was refering to the idea that if the children were not Illinois age of adulthood they could not own anything so if they were giving something away it could not be theirs even if the parents "gave" them the materials.
I have to add that the picture of a couple of 18 year olds giving away lemonade with their nanny is amusing however.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Mikey is an anti-capitalistic moron
Do you actually know what socialism means? You are saying that Mike is in favor of more government regulation? Now if you wanted to say he was a communist that at least would shade toward reality. Granted that's not your strong point, but you could at least try.
I believe this was a cut and paste from Terry to monkeygrudge. She was responding to his note to her not this blog. She doesn't have comments on the lemonade column,
"I was confident I had explained it clearly."
So she gave the children the benefit of her expertise. Did she charge them for it? Is she going to send the parents a bill? Wasn't that something for nothing?
Using your logic the lemonade is not free either you have to spend your time getting it and drinking it. Your time is worth something so it is not free. Does your website count as free?
So who are you trolling for. You just signed up today, you can't understand the simplest statements and your comments are designed to annoy people. Do you get paid or is this just a personality disorder/
They could receive the feeds because the transmissions were not encrypted. They did not encrypt the transmissions because primitive tribesman wouldn't know about computers. It had more to do with stupidity than not being tested in the market
