To this day, since that rootkit debacle, not one Sony product has entered my house. And that includes the movies, the music but also their hardware division.
It doesn't matter in that whether you see it a minute after the rest of the world doesn't really hamper your ability to discuss things with other people on the net.
With sporting events, a minute could mean a win or a loss.
As I said below, 4 years ago, the Olympic Games were in Beijing, and I watched it live on my Dutch tv, despite the many hours delay, and with perfectly synced audio and video. So that argument is clear bullshit.
If every other country can air this live, why is it that the "award winning" NBC cannot do the same?
The Dutch TV was there live during the opening of Olympic Beijing, despite a god knows how many hours delay (and showed a recap of it during prime time the next day, which is how it should be done), including commentary from our sadly not award winning, but infinitely more knowledgeable commentators from the NOS.
Or, were it not for the pirating, it wouldn't have made any money. Oh wait, this is Hollywood, where even the highest grossing movie in history didn't make money.
Indeed, he does call it stolen in those blogposts, and that's probably bad, but to be fair, his copyright notices have been removed from the comics. Which is worse than just copyright infringement, it's removing every bit of credit he could get from it.
Sure he still has the originals, but if you don't know who's property it is, how can you find them?
Inman was wrong for calling it theft, if he has done so (haven't seen proof for that yet, to be honest, I haven't looked for it either)
But why would we keep saying it, if Inman hasn't called it theft ever since? Should we keep banging on that old saw?

With gaming every second counts, with video, not so much.

That said, some providers do offer spotify packages, and I think that traffic from Spotify on those subscriptions aren't counted. But I'm not sure.
