Re: Greedtards
Not exactly true...
their "fair use" would also include payment for thinking about consuming, talking about consuming, overhearing someone else consuming, reading a tale of someone consuming, and a general fee based on your fair share of missed profits because someone, somewhere might have consumed without payment.
Well, looking around here on my desk I see a $5, 3 quarters and a random coffee cup of change so I can mail that somewhere to cover more than the part of the "$150 million" that would have ever been seen by an actual artist...
I'll just be safer to assume it has some copyright attached and you should for the good of the children, country and humanity just toss it...
I actually spent 5 minutes looking around trying to find something I thought might be open to reselling under this. Pretty much without fail I could find someway to torture out a line of reasoning that probably could be argued on copyright grounds and knowing the penchant for lawyers and courts lately...
For years he's regaled us with the mantra of "Show us the real losses of the copyright system not some made up numbers."
Now he's handed a incontrovertible FACT that copyright has cost an actual artist real money and all we hear is mocking.
This guy thinks he can just sell a CD. That CD might as well be Scott's child. You wouldn't sell the kid that mows your lawn, would you? Selling used CDs is just like selling someone's child...to a cyber-terrorist.
Doing whatever the fuck you like, without concern of the rights of others isn't democracy, that's anarchy.
As your siding with the media industry (not to be confused with the actual artists and creative folks that make stuff..) you can't actually say that with a straight face. Based on your definition of anarchy, nothing has ever existed in history as anarchistic as the media industry.
Between the actual creative folks, artists, business partners and the public at large their stamina for screwing people is the envy of every teenage boy...
