WE, US Citizens.
The Electoral college aside, one person one vote, regardless of wealth.
We, the US Citizens are however Too LAZY to give a DAMM and the politicians know this. WE, the US Citizens, have given control to the politicians. If We, the US Citizens, cared enough WE, the US Citizens, can take it back.
What I claimed is that WE, US Citizens, do not control the terrorists. WE, US Citizens DO control our GOVT. We just are too easily swayed by distraction.
Seriously??
Wake up and realize that congress is full of Idiots, however Terrorists are Killers.
Whether or not you want to accept it, WE control Congress. No one controls the terrorists.
This happens with a majority of companies, govt. or organizations that offer RFQ's. It is very common for the current or preferred vendor to write the spec's. This isn't just a Federal Govt. occurrence.
Bottom line,
If you care that much to comment on stupid videos and blogs to the point of calling the poster or blogger names, find an open or public wi-fi connection and send the comment from there. Stay away from the library, office or home.
"Cars have cameras today, if you are backing up your car and you get somebody undressing that would be criminal? "
If this was the case, you could assist the prosecution of the person getting undressed. The cameras are mounted low in the rear of vehicles. If you caught someone naked on it, they would be outside in public behind your car. I do not believe the focal length of the lens is such that you could see anything more than a few feet away clearly.
Unless I missed something, I didn't see any reference to "taking naked pictures of someone else's kids".
I would think that if this happened, we would see references to child porn etc.
"Hulu works, because I use it."
So, by extension, if you didn't use Hulu it wouldn't work??
I thought you were Anonymous Coward and not Arrogant Coward.
"The problem is that the advertisers don't think they should pay as much for ad space on the internet, so it's not as appealing to the industry."
This will change as:
1-More people watch shows on the net.
A-This is still far off
2-Younger executives move into positions of power.
"I got rid of Cable TV a long time ago, total waste of money. I watch shows on Hulu now, and since they are there, there is no need to download them or watch them on illegal sites. I am sure a lot of people feel this way."
1-This works for the tech savvy only.
2-Joe and Josephine 6 pack are still going to get cable.
"There is a fine line between greed, profit and usefulness. Right now, the industry is greedy, the market is setting the price, so the fight continues."
Agreed.
I suspect models, such as Hulu, are testing to see how many commercials they can cram in before people stop watching. Once this is done, the pay for view model will begin along with commercials. They don't care about getting everyone, just a majority.
If the price is reasonable and there aren't any commercials, I might bite.
"with part of the deal being a back-scratcher promise to dump a bunch of money into the campaign coffers of Democrats this upcoming election season:"
If you don't like it, vote the B#$T^&Ds out next election cycle.
This is how a Democracy works.
