I won't actually be at the conference, but I think you should definitely give a talk there.
However, after registering on their website, it's now been 20-30 minutes and I haven't received a confirmation notice so I can actually vote (it's not in my spam folder either!)....If it ever shows up, I'll certainly give you my vote!
I believe you might need a refresher on your grammar and the use of "a" vs "an".
In this case, "A Ohio teen" is correct, as he is "a teen". The word Ohio is describing what kind of teen he is, and does not affect the use of "a" vs "an".
It doesn't always sound correct to the ear, because we are trained to use "an" before any words that begin with a vowel, but grammatically it is correct.
Similarly, it should be "an shiny apple", "a ugly dog", and "a old, used, unwashed, useless piece of apple".
Then again, I could be wrong, as it's happened before.
From what I understand, after June 12th, anyone without a digital converter/tuner that receives their television "over the air" will receive nothing but static.
Why isn't the FCC requiring all over the air broadcasters to display a static informational screen that basically says (similar to not having flash installed on your browser) "If you are seeing this message, you need to...."
It seems to me this would be the best way to get the point across, rather than people turning on their TVs, getting static, and thinking their tv is broken or not knowing where to go for the information....
Another problem with survey accuracy is the design of the surveys. I've taken several surveys online (in exchange for payment or entries in sweepstakes) and have been very frustrated when questions are asked but don't have enough viable answers available (or a way to explain your answer).
There doesn't seem to be enough middle ground between some of the answers, and sometimes there isn't a viable answer avialable, or the question doesn't apply to me at all, based on previous answers I've given or my current situation.
So this would mean that running a lawnmower or generator (etc) which uses gasoline but doen't have "mileage" would get a lot cheaper because gas would be cheaper (without being taxed) ??
I guess that could help businesses that use gasoline outside of cars and other vehicles.....like in generators, lawn maintenance, etc.
For a bit there, I got confused with his liberal use of the word "novel", and thought that maybe he wrote a book that included (as part of the plot or setting) these inventions, and now wants to be paid for companies who went out and made them into products.
Alas, it's much worse than that....
You would think with a $450,000,000 payout, at least a few lawyers around the country would be willing to represent him, but of course, he would have to be able to explain the lawsuit in english, which it doesn't appear he is able to do.
I have to concur with a few other comments here, it's all about the price of Blu-ray movies for me, and the reason I don't own any.
While I have to disagree with some folks here regarding the difference between an upscaled DVD and a true HD picture being only "a bit better", I do not feel $35 for a movie is worth the cost.
I rarely bought DVDs at $20, I'm not buying Blu-rays until the price comes down at least that far.
The only exception I'm making is for the "Planet Earth" series, which is DEFINITELY worth watching in full HD glory.
I don't see how allowing 2 people of the same sex to marry harms others in any way.....It certainly doesn't change the strength, security or meaning of my marriage to my wife.
You claim to be for freedom of speech and yet your party has consistently lobbied for and voted for laws that remove the freedoms of the american people, in exchange for a false sense of security.
You say "regardless of what you may think", however you don't offer any proof to the contrary.
Here's a case in point: I don't even know what the Microsoft Live Search website is......
It's also not listed anywhere in this article directly. Could be part of the problem. I have heard of "Windows Live", but never bothered to look into it.
The funniest part of this? I opened up a new tab, which defaults to google, and searched for "microsoft live search" just to FIND their search engine.
I haven't seen much reported about where the parents were during all of this, and where they thought their kids were.
Her mother says she was talking bad about them online, or something to that effect. I don't see where that's an excuse for conspiring to brutally assault someone, and then post a video of it online for posterity. Does she really think that's okay?
I had traveled to Germany, and had a great night in one of the fame "beer tents". They had live musicians, and at one point they did a german rendering of the YMCA song by the village people.
It was a great example of how much fun we were having, so I took a short video of it (27 seconds) to show our friends and family back home how much fun we were having on our vacation.
The video didn't even include the "chorus" from the song, just lyrics (mostly in German, mind you), and everyone dancing on tables around us.
I'd hope that artists would realize that it's free advertising for how much fun their music is, but I've come to find out it's not usually the artists themselves sending the take-down notices.
If anyone knows how to get in touch with the village people, I'd be glad to know if they really care about my clip of video.
Nuh uh! They have all kinds of cool stuff in the cockpit and I'm sure if they have radar and stuff up there and GPS, then they could easily have a radio/cell phone triangulator signal that was accurate to a map of the seating chart. Can so! heh heh
Except that I AM a bit tech savvy, and just helped my mother install a wireless network in her home. I opened up the Belkin box, inserted the CD as per the instructions, and walked through all the bits of setting up the router to the internet and her computer.
Funnily enough, it never mentioned WEP or WPA encryption, or prompted me to setup a password for the router.
