Has anyone seen a rabbit? I'm missing a rabbit. It's fairly large, fluffy but not overly so, it's mostly white with big brown spots including one over the left eye. It also has conspicuously large teeth. He's my best beaver hunter but is easily distracted by troll poop.
Well, not to nitpick, but I actually want regulated and legislated separation of content and delivery as well as last mile utility. NN is simply a band-aid on a gushing chest wound that wouldn't even need to exist were it that we had real competition.
This breed of blending pipes and content is, effectively, a band of ruffians serving only themselves collectively bent on a hostile takeover of the internet.
We all know a reasonable period of time is, oh, about 120 years so it would seem that any reasonable disconnect policy should reasonably be of equally reasonable proportions.
The United States is a top exporter of freedom. The United States will simply export more freedom to the, uh, undecided country. That's what freedom exporters do.
Re: Re: So you're okay, "Rapnel", if majority vote away your rights?
Close but not quite. I refer, of course, to the unnatural perversion of what is and what is not a right to copy. You seem to resemble exactly what you defend, a perversion. A perversion magnified well beyond reasonable bounds and scope. You defy the reasonable space that would maintain a proper fitment and acceptance into, of and for the humanity that surrounds and nurtures. You represent and defend something that is well passed indefensible. And, further, you represent a direct and hostile intrusion into much more than your precious moral right to prevent. You represent the hostile greed of majority power by proxy.
Re: Re: Tip: don't consume products from "Entertainments Industry"!
Actually, I believe the relevant addiction here are "those mindless "entertainments"" having an extremely unhealthy addiction to their entitlement. Tell me we'd be filtering anything other than spam and malware without these guys paving the way over your rights with their entitlement. To say nothing about forcing everyone around them to do their work for them.
So CSPs then? I'm not really down with furniture categorization if only because one person's chair is another person's cougar handler but I can really get behind Cunt Service Providers if only because they've been behind us for so long now.
This can only escalate and get shittier and shittier for the connectees, actual people.
The level of pure, unadulterated asshatery is about one tick away from infuriating.
Only the purest of self-serving intentions can produce this level of fuckery.
As if the Internet provide only entertainment.
Utility. There is no other more accurate description or categorization applicable. Like, at all.
Appliances, meaning Twitter, Google or whatever are just that; a selection of end-user choices that can be selectively selected (emphasis on choices, like my selection of an electric coffee maker)
A blatant reach for a death-grip on controlling and molding development and progress - brought to all of us directly from the interests that want nothing more than a guaranteed bloated portion of your money.

To put the rights of few above the rights of many is folly. Literally few. Literally folly.
