What do your years of casual reading of FBI documents say about the odds that agents of the FBI may pick up knowledge from those they investigate, perhaps certain turns of phrase or specific technical terms in use by them?
Not understanding how things work is how we manage to have modern technology. If everyone had to understand everything, humanity could hardly even manage to stay at the hunter-gatherer level.
Having said that, I agree with your point that if a judge doesn't understand something, he should call in experts to explain it to him. (or her)
Opera Mini does the 'adjusting the content to fit the device' thing too. You'd think that Opera would've been sued for this if it was problematic in any way. Of course, Opera is a lot poorer than Amazon, so they're a less tempting target for a troll seeking to beat the money out of them with a lawyer-club.
(If Opera _has_ been sued for this, no doubt some knowledgeable person will link to it for us.)
DOH! I just mouseover'd the 'report' button, and I see that it included trollishness in there..
Sorry, folks.
Still, the option not to see troll-comment-trees would still be nice.
... having said that, I bet I'll find that option somewhere when I look...
Along with 'insightful' and 'funny' can we have a 'this is a troll' button? And an option not to see posts by trolls and those responding to the troll?
