This won't be fixed until something ridiculously crooked happens, as some (i.e. those currently in charge) seem to consider it a feature not a bug- otherwise it would have already been fixed..
I predict the winner of the next election in Florida: Votey McVoteface (I).
The site works ok if you're using NoScript and Adblock Plus. The nag screen only appears if you allow wired.com to run Javascript. You can read the articles without it, but you do lose some of the pictures and videos. YMMV as to if this is a pro or con.
I interpreted the "can't determine when it was downloaded" to mean that the time stamp, file location, or other metadata either implied another user downloaded/copied it, or ruled him out as the downloader. If they were to plant a file, I would think they would match the times stamp, etc., to clearly implicate Gartenlaub (assuming minimal competency, which could be where my expectations diverge from reality).
The call comes a day after the Dutch government said it would scrap legislation which makes insulting a friendly head of state a criminal offence.
Why is this law applicable? Erdogan certainly doesn't seem very friendly.
I'd say more about what he does seem like, but it would be at risk of a lifetime visit to a Turkish prison (and I'm not into that) or paying a price of £1,000 (also not into that).
IANAL, but isn't restraining someone and keeping them in a place against their will without any legal justification also known as kidnapping? I believe that's a felony. And he's plotting this kidnapping across state lines, which would make it a violation of federal law.
So are SF Police recruits going to be issued double-barreled shotguns to help enforce this rule? Thus they will be forced to reload as they reassess.
The article does mention that the two bullet rule and the two hour training are for recruits, implying that more experienced officers may still fire freely and without the constraints of de-escalation tactics clouding their judgement.
"Another new policy demands that all sworn officers take an additional eight-hour class on how to handle suspects with blades and other non-firearm weapons."
I'm assuming this is aka target practice, even if that's the opposite of the stated purpose.

And if the court bans this new poem (partially or otherwise), there's always songs, skits, plays, various types of spoken word performances, etc...
