Ask Google who went a wee bit insane and deleted evidence of war crimes & historical films that teachers were sharing to give their students a better view of history.
You throw in one guy with a funny mustache looking for kyle, have you seen kyle? he's about this tall and its obviously propaganda we need to delete.

I really really wish that it was required of every person screaming its easy, just tech it, etc. was forced to provide the magic solution to the rest of us.
We don't live in a tv show (despite the comic relief we put into office) & the real world doesn't work this way.
Australian leadership demanded Math change itself to comply with a law demanding it behave in an impossible way. When called out they doubled down that it had to do that.
The soundbite is better when you just pretend its possible & they are just refusing to fix it.
For every talking head demanding Google can easily accomplish policing YT, Google should run an ad demanding the talking head turn over the magic code they must have & are hiding.
Google is just a handy whipping boy to blame for everything, they can't do that much to Google so they just keep piling on with this stupid shit.
I await the day Google decides to flex the 'fine fuck you' response & takes the ball away for a week.
You told us it was possible, but offer nothing but demands we do the impossible so you can score political points. We decided to take some of those points off the board, explain to your constituents how you are responsible for us taking a vacation.

Copyright is this magical growing blob...
It gulped down the right to get paid well after the artist is dust, it gulped down the right to veto technology (something something Boston Strangler in every home!!), it gulped down the right to get a tax on things they imagine can be used for piracy, it gulped down the right to claim a song you wrote belongs to someone else, it gulped down the right to demand you give them 95% of your total profits...
For every gulp the "problem" remains the same, they can't seem to stop 'piracy' so they look for more things to gulp down to protect copyright & the rights of citizens mean nothing if they imagine it might cost them a dime in imagined income they are 'owed'.
We've sometimes dropped a little dry ice on the monster, showing that the world doesn't end if it doesn't get to grow. Now it wants the right to spy on everyone every waking moment just in case...
It's a pity that in gobbling up all of these things, they never gobbled up common sense or the idea that if you make the content easily available people will pay you.

Shoot an unarmed man while a cop - 3 days desk duty.
Shoot an unarmed man while a citizen - murder most foul!

Re:
But the copyright cartels see the disabled as not customers.
Look at the fight about the blind being able to have access to screen reading in kindles & such, the screaming about how it was copyright infringement and would destroy books forever!!!
The blind should be perfectly happy to wait until we think we might release a braille version of a book at a nice mark-up.
Just because they mastered a 'special' version of "Up" for rental that had no closed captions is just their way of saying 'Fuck you, pay us' to the hearing impaired who might have liked to rent the movie about an old man with a hearing impairment, rather than have to buy the plastic disc to be included.
Why do fan subs exist??
The cartels will scream its the evil evil pirates just trying to rob them.
The fansubbers will tell you that much of the content released is translated by Bing Translate fed to Google Translate fed to Ask Jeeves. Many of the jokes & insights are lost when translated by a non-native speaker.
Image of Voice Actors recording their lines, by reading fabsubbed captions from the big screen goes here.gif (yes it exists and IIRC it was at Funamation)
Subtitles cost money to create & they feel they can't get a good enough return on the investment. They can't dare reach out to fansubbers (WHO ARE DOING THIS FOR FREE) for assistance b/c they declared war on these superfans who make the content more accessible making more fans.
They keep releasing shitty subs, trying to crush people making them better for free, & consider... either SwissSky didn't acquire the rights to Chernobyl the right way or the provided subs were so shitty they had to get an unofficial source so their viewers could understand the show.
But then I've been yelling that they need to stop subdividing the world into small pieces & treat it as a global market. Stop wasting money remastering plastic discs for different markets, save that money. But then they are sure that someone will figure out they can buy it off the shelf in Liberia for $5 US while it sells for $50 in the US & the entire economy will die.
I mean I never had to acquire plastic discs from different regions to get shows I liked that the rights are all screwed up for or were released looking like a 5 yr old mastered the discs in my region... or wait I have.
