As this becomes more common, I expect the people will even start suspecting something odd about candidates if they CAN'T find any sort of "evidence" about their previous lifestyle on the intertubes.
Rupert: Hey! Quit kicking those search results in our faces!
Anonymous Coward: That Google is the worst nuisance on the internets...
Google: Listen here. I'd stop aggregating your news site - only you're so puny you might dry up and blow away.
Rupert: The big bully! I'll get even some day.
Mike: Oh don't let it bother you, little boy!
Rupert: Darn it! I'm sick and tired of being leeched by aggregators! Bill Gates says he can give me a REAL search engine. All right! I'll gamble. A download and get his FREE Bing!
Rupert: Boy! It didn't take Gates long to do this for me! What RSS feeds! That bully won't steal from ME around again!
Rupert: Google! You here again? Here's the robots.txt I owe you!
Anonymous Coward: Oh, Rupert! You ARE a real man after all!
She doesn't really understand the Reason-to-Buy business model. For instance, someone should explain that she could include a free glass of beer with each CD that you buy from her, so that you can use it as a coaster.
This is great news. More and more bands associated with collection agencies should be forbidden by such agencies to do the stuff that they want. This can only result in huge success.
Actually, it's more like the major league is full of 60+ year olds with weigh problems and heart conditions, but the Baseball Association of America keeps saying that unless we keep all those damn kids off our lawn... baseball lawn, they're gonna kill baseball with all their running and stealing bases and doing all that unneeded athletic stuff. That what's important is not to watch an active, "sporty" sport, but that these old players are the only ones with "experience" and thus are the only ones worth watching.
And that the government should subsidize their enemas and IV lines and diabetes pills and somehow keep the new young players from competing, because then all the rabble will get to profit from baseball instead of the old timers.
Actually, there is nothing in US law against having more than 1 citizenship (you can have as many as you want). The problem is that TSA people freak out when they see that you have more than one passport, because they fear what they don't know. More likely to try to burn your passports and club you in the head than to actually figure it out. There have been many cases where a person with another additional citizenship was detained, interrogated, and in general annoyed like hell, only for a higher-level official of migrations to explain to his subordinates that there's nothing wrong or "treacherous" about it.
Good heavens! You mean artists have to make up their lack of profit from sitting on their asses and watching plastic discs being sold with actually going out there and WORKING FOR IT? Preposterous! Where are the Industry Suits when we need them?
No, it is you who is missing the point. In failing to make a point at all.
Saying that someone had to pay something to get a service is really nonsense. It would be no different than saying that, in order to get free coffee at the bookstore, I had to DRIVE there, spending money, and if I walked, I spent money in the CALORIES I spent walking there, so it's not free. And then, the bookstore get a new potential client and that makes the coffee NOT FREE. Because you miss the point that FREE != make no money, when the point of the article and 99% of the other articles is that FREE = great for making money in other ways except PAYING FOR THE PRICE TAG IN THE ARTICLE.

Microsoft even has instructions on how to make your own custom installer for Windoze. Like, if you wanted all your installations to be unattended with a preset timezone and/or license key.
You could get a job playing in a band in some restaurant. Like people with real jobs, there are those that receive salaries, and those that have a larger vision and are entrepreneurs.
