The government cares about fake comments. Fake comments are valuable to the government and are used to support certain policies.
The other beauty of fake comments is that when they don't support a favorite policy, the comments can be pointed out as being fake -- even if they're real. Simply because of the volume of fake comments. Everybody wins. (Except for the public.)
If social media is what is tearing the fabric of society apart, maybe the US should charge $1000 / day to access social media. For the same reasons there are high taxes on cigarettes. Just sayin'
If I have never and will never create a FaceTwit InstaWhats account, can I get a tax credit?
New Zealand welcomes you! While customs is busy searching grandma's and the teenager's phones, you can avoid having your digital devices strip searched for a mere $3,000.00. A small price to pay. For everything else there's mastercard.
I propose a new ISP repeat infringer policy. (let the wookie win)
Infinity minus one strikes.
Don't laugh. Remember back in the day. The fights over copyright length extension. Jack Valenti. The constitution doesn't say how long copyright can last, it only says "for limited times". Jack Valenti proposed extending copyright to infinity minus one day.
So this repeat infringer policy seems fair. And how could the MPAA complain after what Jack Valenti said.
ESPN didn't obey the evacuation order. They stayed while they felt the earth shifting beneath their feet. They will expect rescuers to come help them. Maybe at taxpayer expense.

How about protecting the rest of us?
Our devices are subject to attack by state sponsored hackers.
The US government needs to protect us from certain governments that want to take away our crypto and security by requiring back doors. (Oh, wait...)
But maybe I'm paranoid. Maybe there is No Such Agency that would want to spy on US citizens.
