Frankly, if someone 'loses' or 'mislays' or 'abandons' property, they aren't going to be back for it if they are not back for it within 48 hours.
An exception would be if it has a name and address etched on it.
After that amount of time EVEN IF THE THINGS IN QUESTION CAN BE CONNECTED WITH A CRIME, if you want to claim them as your own, they should be yours.
No, it wasn't. The Westboro case was an incidence of a non-First Amendment right being created. I do NOT have the right to use my First Amendment to harass someone IN REAL LIFE and make their life difficult. I do have the right to write letters to other people about them and put them in newspapers and on the internet saying that I disagree with someone.
They didn't actually file any charges in that case, but close enough. The fact is that when things like this are done, the FBI if you find the device in question should be REQUIRED to tell you what it is AND show you the warrant for putting it on.
Totally against the separation of powers and if he tries this, he is going to end up in federal, state, etc. court over this and with a stiff jail sentence.
Agreed. My rural town has about 80% of the voting age adults registered and that is only because you are automatically registered when you go for a driver's license.
Even then, only about 60% at most of the registered voters vote at any one time.
You cannot prevent mass murders from happen, to be blunt. You can only clean up after the fact and MAYBE change some security things so that the holes that were there, aren't there anymore.
In this case, they did that by PUTTING SUPER-STRENGTH DOORS ON THE COCKPITS OF THE PLANES!
No, it wouldn't. The fact is that everyone spouts the bullshit about "KILL THE LAWYERS!" until they are charged with a crime and need a lawyer.
Then, after having some REAL CONTACT WITH LAWYERS, they realize that not all lawyers are like these idiots who are working for Perfect 10 and stop spouting that bullcrap.
I don't understand how you are so insane that you cannot realize that there is no legitimate and feasible way to do that, unless the companies want to shut themselves down entirely.
1. Get a picture of a nude child.
2. Put it on a person's computer.
3. Inform the police.
4. Laugh as your patsy goes to prison!
We need to get rid of these laws, they are NOT being used to 'protect children' but instead to force people's personal likes and dislikes on other people.
That is part of the problem with our system. There is all of this pressure put on people to 'plea' when they really shouldn't that very few people can stand up to when they are threatened with 'consequences' unless they plea.
He shouldn't have gotten any jail time or punishment in the first place. This is the EPITOME of parody! Not to mention that OTHER people have made videos like this since then and they haven't been arrested!
I swear...... things like this make me want to PUKE.
I agree with Anonymous Poster: WE NEED A BETTER SYSTEM! One that RESPECTS free expression, even if some people dislike that expression.
Feel free to think that it is an 'idiot thing', but the bottom line is that is how politicians were SUPPOSED to be. It's only a very recent phenomenon that turned them into lying bastards who would do anything for money from lobbyists and others.
Personally, I am of the opinion that obscenity is in the eye of the beholder, and that the beholder needs to just realize that they have no right to force their personal likes and dislikes on other people and just not look at the thing in question!
That goes for a lot of laws like the statutory rape, child sexual abuse, etc. laws.
If they can prove that a child was physically forced into sex? Arrest the bastard who did that!
Actually, no, it isn't. I know some people who have smoked packs a day and not gotten lung cancer. I also know some people who only smoked 1 cigarette a week or less who got lung cancer.
There seems to be NO correlation between lung cancer and smoking, and more a connection between lung cancer and a family history of cancer.

Being a politician as it was supposed to be was supposed to be about:
1. Helping to protect and guide society.
2. Serving society.
It was only in the past 50 years that being a politician (actually more a conservative politician) has morphed into being a liar.
