well, nobody except the MAFIAA and misguide/control freak artists who still honestly&vehemently believe copyright is like some kinda god-given air they breathe if you take it away they shrivel up and die.....
is that you have managed to learn the Masnick technique of saying many words, without actually making a single valid argument.
wait, Masnick had that? i believe the technique was first invented by a certain group, i'm sure you know who i'm talking about... the name begins with T and ends with L
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Just who is innovating here?
for a digital work that takes nothing but a couple seconds/clicks to copy you only have to pay the author once for the first copy, which can be done with kickstarter.com
after that there is no need to continue paying
if it was a physical work that takes physical resources and time to copy it would be different
it's not standard writing style to put a space before sentence-ending punctuation.
well, darryl doesn't write in "our" standard writing style he writes in "crazy drunk ass hitting his hooves on the keyboard" which is like the standard writing style for him so putting spaces in weird places is part of the deal
a return to the pre-1976 regime of notice, registration, and escrow with the Library of Congress, reduction of copyright terms for all existing works, codification of fair use, and comprehensive orphan works legislation. Unless copyright is balanced to be fair to consumers once again, looking at enforcement is premature.
what would that look like? in more detail
i'm not very well versed in the older copyright version, just the broken pile of kaka we have today

Re: Re: Positive development, but...
i cannot comprehend why or how some people still believe and firmly insist that infinitely copyable content can be "stolen" via copying it
copying isn't theft, people, no matter what the MAFIAA wants you to believe, it's time to wake up and smell the coffee

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Just who is innovating here?
physical work = same as now, pretty much
digital work = big payment upfront before/during development then free afterwards
just that would be a huge improvement over what it currently is
