some have said about extradition if a site streams ok no need. From the BBC site.
Websites hosting pirated material could be blocked in the UK if the US introduces a similar system, according to culture minister Ed Vaizey.
Mr Vaizey struck a bullish note on the subject of copyright during his keynote speech at the Intellect Consumer Electronics conference.
"If people are streaming live football without permission we should look at ways we can stop them," he said. "People have the right to earn money from content they create."
However, he remained tight-lipped on what came out of last week's meeting between UK ISPs and content providers to discuss website blocking.
though why he picked out a sport instead of movies or music i dont know
I have gigs of music and i bought a lot of it digitised from vynal recording bough way back others i have sent to me to play on my radio shows so in europe any way the artist stil get paid by the royalties from the radio stations. So you are wrong again.
i agree what 1 file shared = is potenually more sales because someone likes what is heard. what this is is pure defrauding the artist of money that is theirs and has already been colected in the artists name no getting away from it this is far worse than any filesharing as the artists actually trust this bunch of thives. But do trolls have the brain power to work that out.
mike first this line, It sounds like they weren't necessarily looking for more money from artists, but potentially for themselves...
the word from surely should be for. Just shows these societies dont care about the artists at all.
the more the people are pushed the more people push back. Have these idiots not realised they have now reached a point where they will be told to go away and multiply politely.
AAA STORE apple are assholes store
OFSJ store one finger at Steve jobs store
OBA = one bad apple store

finally GLTA = gnu linux trumps apple or you can substitute tramples for trumps.
If this is the way the world is going I expect a knock on the door any day now or the door kicked in. The same thing appears to be happening in Europe. Mike I hope you have reinforced the entry to your office.
No the AC who said it will annoy radio broadcasters it wont we send out a signal what happens to the audio on it we cant control.people have recorded music, shows etc since radio began. so we don't mind. even the BBC encourage it they even ask listeners for recordings of show lost from their archives.
I agree Pandora was a good service but as i don't live in the USA cant get it not without going through a proxie. But the cost of licenses is very much against them the labels really wanted to kill it, and all internet radio.
I would really like to know what has a simple alleged IP infringement got to do with child porn. details please not mpaa /riaa rhetoric please not i put the initials in lower case because they are insignificant organisations. run by idiots who control morons who run ice.just my opinion.
I have a question WHY?I have loads of music on my hard drive at home If I want I can SSH into my home computer and stream from home. Why would I want to put my music in the hands of a company that could if it wished pull the plug at any time and I lose all my tracks?
Now I am not saying apple, Google or Amazon will but they could be forced to by the record companies, and I guess there is a charge for this storage.
