Talking On Radio And Podcasts About PROTECT IP And Other Copyright Issues

from the chatty-chatty dept

In the past few days I've been a guest on both Bulletproof Radio and the Peer Press podcast (along with Ernesto from TorrentFreak and K. Matthew Dames from Copycense). Both discussions spend time on PROTECT IP, but wander into other areas as well. I actually have a really bad cold this week (and before and after both appearances sounded like I was coughing up a lung), so forgive the stuffy sound and the occasional sniffling noises. Bulletproof Radio has an embed, which I have below, but it doesn't look like Peer Press does, so you'll have to visit the site for that one:

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

"I actually have a really bad cold this week"

Maybe because you don't have an illness causation theory that works?

"The RIAA shills released a study today that shows that 100% of people who disagree with them get sick."

Shockingly, that would actually be a true, considering nearly all of us get sick at least once in our lives.

The fact is that I'm sick and tired of the U.S. government uniformly serving the interests of big corporations and no one else.

Going to hell after making audio disk for car

Yep, if they had their way I would be hell bound for making an audio disk for the car. Also, I could just give the disk away when I was done listening to it. Holy Mother of Perpetual Income a lost sales of free content.
