There has been a workaround since about... 12 hours or so ago, via hex-editing. However, this seems to be a Sega of Europe decision rather than Sega Japan/Sega of America decision. Hence why it seems odd, yet understandable to complain to Sega about the DRM.
so uhh... what is the spirit of the Posse Comitatus Act vs giving Milspec equipment to law enforcement? I mean, could it be reasonably construed as to enlisting law enforcement as Military in order to enforce domestic policy?
1) let us look at Germany. They, like the US, have not gotten over their... less than glorious past. Again, I point towards Politico. Now Germany does not have any statues of Hitler, Rommel, etc. But also it is Illegal to display emblems associated with that era. (Incidently this is why KISS [the band] Has their albums changed for German markets).
And as Politico said, The Germans haven't faced what it did until the 1972 summer Olympics. And after speaking to a few Germans and a couple of Dutch that I know, the sentiment hasn't died out completely, yet. This is why you see, oddly enough, US Confederate flags in Germany.
This is why I think we SHOULD remove Confederate monuments and symbols, EXCEPT for places of NATIONAL importance (Cemeteries, Battlefields, etc.). It will take some time, but we can forget about it if we don't remember it.
2) The First Amendment guarantees the right to free speech. But it doesn't mean that I HAVE to listen to your hate filled drivel.
Next up: China will demand Google extraterritorial information on Chinese dissidents (Possibly in the US). That is if they haven't already been doing so.
I have to agree. This is the burden we have to share when we have free speech. HOWEVER, that also means that we can counter that hate speech with non-hate speech, like what happened in Boston.
I will counter your argument on one specific point, National Parks/Recreation Areas/Battlefields/Cemeteries. You know, places where (more or less) both sides should be represented.
I've been listening to Bob and Tom (Yes, it's still around) and for the past.... week or two they have been playing adverts for AT&T Fiber (being in Indy, Prices may vary, not available in all areas, etc). And their two main points is
a) You can download 25 songs/second b) You can download an episode of your favorite show in under a minute.
I am suuuuure that the MPAA/RIAA is totally fine with that kind of advertisement, right?
not exactly sure what this has to do with the article, but the right wants to redefine something in order to fix it. This is like a disease, redefining a disease will not magically cure said disease.
actually the answer is easier than you would think. I agree with a lot of your points. BUT....
IF you censor extremist content from X religion, then you damn well better censor it from Y religion too. Otherwise you are just a hypocrite (and possibly illegal).
according to the OTHER article, the ACLU can defend PETA, Milo Yiannopolis, the KKK, (And I *THINK* they defended WBC during their SCOTUS trial), But speaking out against Bob "Eat Shit" Murray is TOO biased?
Exactly HOW much of a douchnozzle you you have to be to be in THAT situation?
