I think they hate him because Bill Maher likes him. Funny how all it takes is a shred of intelligence and good sense to break down partisan lines, no wonder congress is so divided....
... that the 'artists' the RIAA protects are the lawyers who come up with these ideas. I mean, I sure couldn't come up with a more creative way to annihilate my own business...
He clearly started a label, didn't sign up with one. That's how successful hip hop artists do things, starting with Dr Dre and Death Row records. Lets them retain the copyrights while the publisher retains all the distribution rights. So he signed with a parent label to help him distribute his music, which now seems stupid since they seem to be stopping him from distributing his music.... for the artist (who would clearly not be him.)
elementary school and sex. All sexually active teenagers attended elementary students within 5 years of first becoming sexually active. We must put an end to these 'places of fun and learning' that are destroying the very moral fibre of our society!!
Maybe he believes in the public domain? And when something you believe in gets stomped on, it sucks. Now you don't even understand basic humanity? Weird...
Everytime you hear in the next few years that 'Motorola invented the cellphone' they will be referring to 1 of 2 things (and probably confusing them both).
1) StarTac phones were the first truly portable, mass market cell phones and a lot of the miniaturization from the car phones of the 80s was done by Motorola.
2) They basically created the GSM standard, which solved the CDMA code breaking problem (could hack phone calls by spoofing another phones code) and gave us the modern cell phone network. Very big deals.
A lot of the MMI patents involve the miniaturization techniques developed for the creation of the first cell phones (and yes, for the battlefield communications of the day) and while not explicitly related to mobile communications, are probably very much applicable to almost any piece of consumer electronics today.
Interestingly enough, MMI would probably also own some of the patents originally used to create the first Macs...
iPhone4 has about 40% of the raw computing power of a modern android handset, and is accelerating at a slower pace due to being forced to innovate in a linear patter (ie, they have to do the chip innovation, then once thats done they can write software for it, etc. Not happening all at once like competition breeds) so this is the only way they can possibly survive long term without the iPhone becoming the 90's Macs.
I agree its fair to assume, but 'fair to assume' is far from proof, and a statment of fact like "yes drug money has been used to fund terrorism" is not worded as assumption. It might be 'fair to assume' that drug money funds terrorism, but right now, at least, most drug money would be spent fueling the cartel war in Mexico, not travelling halfway around the world into the middle east.
Also, the vast majority of cartel leaders are catholic, so just because the american media paints both terrorists and drug dealers as 'brown people', doesn't mean the 2 VERY different groups have anything in common other than the rough shading of their skin.
Actually, its difficult to prove drug money fuels terrorism, unless you count all violence as terrorism. Most drug related violence is profit-protection, not ideological in nature. When you start saying anything that causes terror is 'terrorism' then you've muddied the term enough to basically include anything under that label. Terrorism is violence with the only goal as the creation of fear, a particularly vile brand of violence that procludes profit.
I would suggest you learn something my friend. The Taliban was very anti-drug, in fact by 9/11 they had almost completely wiped out Afhanistans production of heroin. Do some reading, my god, stop reinventing history.
