You should be ashamed for being so goddamn stupid. No wonder you're an Anonymous Coward. People like you should be rounded up and quarantined to save the rest of us from your profound ignorance.
MPAA/RIAA are a far greater danger to freedom than any foreign terrorists. If there was real honesty in our justice system, both organizations and all of their top-level management would be facing RICO convictions.
So now we have a convenient list of spineless idiots who we no longer need to show any respect. These PEN writers who have signed this "protest" are craven cowards who mock the very idea of freedom of speech and are now actively patting the backs of the very terrorists who would murder masses of others because of their words.
"Of course we're weasely lying SOBs with no morals and a total contempt for humanity and rule of law. But, you're not allowed to have that evidence proving we're weasely lying SOBs with no morals and a total contempt for humanity and rule of law." -- MPAA
So, then, China can demand that the rest of the world censor everything as they've done? Where does it stop? F the EU and F France and everyone else who wants to censor. Just FU.
ITT: people who have absolutely no clue about employment law spouting off erroneous and ludicrous opinions about it. Mike has this correct. The Florida department ruled incorrectly, maybe they're as ignorant as many of the commenters here.
I hope you're tazed to the point of near death by one of your buddy cops. People like you are a huge part of the problem. You're enabling fascism to run rampant. FU
To me, this has been the worst travesty of the Obama administration. We expected this type of crap from Bush. But Obama promised transparency but has been anything but so. If anything, his administration has doubled-down on secrecy and added draconian punishment of anyone daring to blow the whistle on the blatantly illegal activities of the government. All of Obama's positive accomplishments will be overshadowed by his legacy of tyrant-like actions in this regard.
I have a new (less than 2 months old) Keurig 2.0 machine. I can easily bypass the DRM well enough but I've been using genuine K-cups since buying it. After brewing just 3 cups a day for a month/half, the machine stopped working, acted as if clogged somehow. Called tech support, they talked me through sticking a paper clip up into the side of the "needles" and flushing water through the machine by holding the activation button. After a couple of those flushes, the machine now works as it should. This must be such a known issue, the tech lady said she was mailing me an "official cleaning tool" to help with this process and that I should use it monthly. Maybe those design engineers shouldn't have spent so much time agonizing over imaginary exploding cups and instead made a more reliable device.
Cab companies act as if there was no Uber I'd use their service. No, I would find something else. Their service is that bad here in Atlanta, I'd rather do anything than get in a taxi. I'd walk 10 blocks first.
Isn't this the standard GOP operating procedure? Keep claiming that something you're opposed to is the exact opposite, flood the media with that message. Then the Fox News illiterati repeat it ad nauseam until it becomes "truthiness". We've seen this magic trick too many times, already. This spectacle about the FCC is even more absurd. The rules that are 8 pages, with 292 pages of comments, is repeatedly misrepresented. Repeated derision about the public not being able to read the rules, but the reason we can't read them is the 2 GOP operatives are holding up the release. So, GOP prevents the release of the rules then ridicules the rules because they haven't been released. The rules prohibit ISPs from placing speed barriers on the net, but the GOP spreads FUD about speed barriers because of the rules. The absurdity is simply mind boggling and the GOP proves once again it simply cannot govern beyond the level of childish bullying and playground antics.
It is easy enough to tell if your Android device has hardware or software based encryption available. Go to the Settings > Security and see if the encryption is listed as "hardware" or "software". My HTC One M8 says "Hardware-backed", so the system does have dedicated encryption hardware. My old MyTouch 4G Slide, however, says "software", so that phone did not have the hardware to do it and relied upon the OS for encryption. I don't have the encryption activated on my M8 because I choose to not have a locked phone. I live alone and it is simply unlikely that my phone is ever out of my site or possession, so I'm not worried about it. The convenience of not having to enter an unlock code every time I open the case overrules any benefit I might get from encrypting the phone. But, that's just me. I can understand others might want and need that added security, and it is available to them should they choose it.
