I think that many industries are getting to the point where they are alienating their customers. It also seems like the US government is hard at work attempting to do the same thing with the population of the US.
The whole 22 embassy shutdown is BS political theater. There will probably be a raid(s) or a drone strike(s), followed by congratulations all around at "stopping the terrorist threat". Then they are going to say "Thanks to the work of the NSA spying program we were able to prevent this attack". This will be used in an attempt to justify keeping the program up and running.
This is the first time since the president took office that we find something that is transparent.
Not the Streisand effect, the Index Librorum Prohibitorum effect. When the catholics banned books, they went on to be some of the most well read books.
I do not understand why these whistleblowers do not get together an write a book. It would be a best seller, and they could retire ... and go on the talk show / lecture circuit.

By not doing anything about the lying they continue to dig a deeper hole for themselves. There is an ever growing level of distrust, that is directed at the government. As long as they maintain the business as usual, "we are above the law" attitude it will increase.
